Back in the greenhouse, "Okay here's another dad joke...I used to be addicted to soap, but I'm clean now." Minnie said sniggering.
"I can't believe in this day and age there's actually people that still find dad jokes funny." Cyrus replied, "Cyrus c'mon! everybody loves dad jokes!" Seong-min replied back.
"Girlie is right, or are you looking down on me Cyrus, cuz you're a graduated college boy?" Minnie said.
"What the hell me being a college boy got to do with that?! you shouldn't be hard on yourself cuz you didn't get to go to college Minnie! Some of the greatest people on earth didn't even graduate highschool let alone college!
Besides, You have a job and you're living fine...I have a degree and can't do shit with it." Cyrus replied.
"You'd be surprised how often the highly educated people like yourself, like to pick fun on people like me who just graduated high school and said 'fuck the toxic expensive educational system'!" Minnie said.
"That's sad and I'm sorry that happened to you Sister." Cyrus replied, "But I ain't one of'em Losers who think they have the right to bully others, because they believe themselves better than the rest." He added.
"Ain't that something good to know...Man, if more people would be more considerate of each other, imagine how good the world would be." Minnie replied.
"Speaking of college, Seong-min...You mentioned you're going to study here, right?" Cyrus asked.
"Yeah! I'm actually going to college here, I'll move from this town by the beginning of the semester, so sometime between the end of August and beginning of September.
but... I'm not really looking forward to it... I'm not studying something I like, my father signed me up for it." Seong-min replied.
"So we barely have two months left with You Gurl! we should use this time and create some memories!" Minnie said.
"No wonder you were rushing things lately... so what you're going to major in college?" Cyrus asked.
"Business Management... my dad is forcing me to do it to please my grandpa... I don't know if I mentioned this to you before but unfortunately I'm rich, like super rich.
My family owns many successful businesses in korea, and maybe I'm the only person left in my family to take the business and run it, so they kinda want me to be ready for that." Seong-min replied.
"Kinda? Why? is Jin not an option to become heir? isn't he your brother?" Minnie asked but Seong-min remained quiet.
Sensing her distress, "It's your choice to answer us, if you don't feel like telling us then we understand, at least I do." Cyrus said.
Sighing, "No... I trust you two, so I'm going to tell you the truth..my grandpa doesn't know about Jin." Seong-min replied.
Confused, Minnie scrunched her face, "I'm sorry girlie, but what the hell you mean he doesn't know? like he don't know his grandson is real?" She asked.
"We're half siblings, you guys already know that much... Besides it was easy to not know about Jin, since he lived here with his mom his entire life, while my grandpa, dad and I were in Korea." Seong-min said.
"If your grandpa doesn't know about Jin, how does you and your mom and like literally the rest of the entire globe, knows about him?" Cyrus asked.
"Okay...The truth is that 7 years ago my dad came to this town, he was here to attend Lily's funeral... Jin's mom.
Jin was born out of wedlock 25 years ago to My dad and Lily who for some reason was in Korea at the time she got pregnant, and it all happened without My grandpa knowing anything, so basically it remained a secret and the whole trip to attend the funeral was a secret as well." Seong-min explained.
Scoffing, "Now hold on a minute gurl, you finna tell me? your brother? that Tall glass of water came to life in complete secrecy? and for 25 years Your Grandpa didn't know he existed?" Minnie said in disbelief.
"Why is your mother aware of His existence?" Cyrus asked, "The first time my mom knew about Jin was at that funeral...
I never saw my dad that emotional before...he barely kept a straight face...It seemed like Lily did something My dad didn't expect, which is to die.
I was just 11 at that time, And when he explained to us that I have a brother, my mom wasn't surprised nor angry...She and my dad weren't so deep in Their marriage, but I was happy to know I had a brother...I asked if he's going to take Jin home with him, and he said he had to talk to him first.
But after talking with Jin, my dad's attitude changed completely and he refused to take Jin home or even tell my grandpa about him.
He made a show by saying he won't accept a gay son and we believed it...i thought that my dad was homophobic." Seong-min explained.
"So Jin stayed here after that...why did you and your mother help him keep a secret... clearly you didn't tell Your Grandpa about Jin." Cyrus wondered.
"I'm not sure why my mom stayed quiet, but I loved Jin from the moment I saw him...I swore I would protect him, so I obeyed my dad when he told me not to talk about Jin." Seong-min replied.
"Jin is now famous due to his relationship with Nikolai... isn't this going to pose a danger to him?" Minnie asked, "It'll be fine, I think." Seong-min replied.
"Judging by your condition...How come your grandpa allowed the only heir of the family to leave his sight?" Cyrus asked.
"I found out the truth, that my dad didn't bring Jin to Korea because he's ashamed of his sexuality, it was actually to protect him from my dangerously homophobic Grandpa.
When I realized that, I used it to blackmail him into convincing my grandpa to allow me to come here." Seong-min replied.
"You do enjoy Blackmailing." Cyrus joked.
"Hypothetically speaking, if your Sorry-Ass grandpa found out about Jin, and decided to come get him...would Jin's sexuality be enough to make your grandpa give-up on him?" Minnie asked.
"The thing is if my grandpa knew that Jin existed, he would definitely try to bring him to Korea, like I said my grandpa doesn't want to leave the business in the hands of a woman.
If he were to know about Jin, he'll try to get him to Korea to train him to become the heir of the family." Seong-min replied, "As for Jin's sexuality, if My grandpa was successful in convincing Jin to become the heir... he'll probably try to 'Ungay' Jin." she added with disgust and fear mixed into her voice.
"Ungay what? How the Fuck he's gonna undo something like that?! People ain't gay by choice!" Cyrus commented, "Oh Hell NAW! This grandpa should never ever know about Jin! He'll never accept Jin and Nikolai together!" Minnie said.
"This scenario only works if Jin went to Korea, but Let's not forget that Jin is a free man, he's not tied by family.
He doesn't have to agree and probably will never say yes to grandpa." Seong-min replied.
"That's why you're not so worried about Your grandpa finding out about Jin...Jin wouldn't accept this to happen to himself." Cyrus pointed out.
"My brother will be fine...I'm actually worried about my dad more, My grandpa might do something to him, for lying." Seong-min replied.
"My own Grandpa is reluctant to hand over the family business to me because I'm a woman, that's why my dad is still the boss...But I can tell he is unhappy where he is.
My grandpa won't let my dad quit unless he trains an heir.
My grandpa's wrath is something to behold... He's a tyrant, a monster." Seong-min explained.
"Gurl, what about your music career?!" Minnie asked.
"My dad made me promise, to stop singing once I take over the family business, untill then... I'm free to do it, as long as my music career doesn't harm the name of the family." Seong-min replied.
Watching how her eyes dropped, Cyrus took a deep breath, "I'm sorry You're being treated like that...I guess you really shouldn't judge a book by its cover...I thought you're bubbly and fun cuz you were raised by a Bubbly and fun mother.
You're a good actress Seong-min." Cyrus said.
"So I guess when summer ends... You're going to focus on college and music, so you won't be around any longer?" Minnie asked.
"I'll try visiting whenever I can." Seong-min replied smiling.
"Seong-min...why did you come here?" Cyrus asked, "Did you follow your brother on purpose?"
"The truth is I didn't want to have Jin watch over me 24h...but it was something I couldn't control.
I had two reasons for coming here, for Ha-yoon to help me in Both music and my plans to get revenge.
However since Jin and I talk on the net, I was aware he was back in his old town for a while.
And Since I'm a big fan of Nikolai, I had heard that Nikolai came back to his old town to shoot another movie, shortly after suddenly receiving those death threats.
So I figured my brother came back to town because he wanted a chance to protect Nikolai." Seong-min explained.
"So you weren't gonna start your revenge, but rather investigate first?" Minnie asked, "It's not enough time when you don't have enough infos." Seong-min replied.
"I see now why Ha-yoon introduced us to each other...You had the means and I had infos, at least infos about Rudy and Flint." Cyrus said, "She wanted us to get over this revenge plan quickly." he added.
Checking her phone, "Speaking of Jin, he sent me a message earlier! I didn't see it! they're about to play a game I think." Seong-min said, "He's probably worried about you, we took our time here, we should go back." Cyrus replied.
"Yeah! let's go back to the living room, I wanna see what game they're playing!" Minnie said sniggering.
... Meanwhile...
Andrea was standing behind the Slightly open greenhouse door, His lips formed a smile after he finished eavesdropping, "I think I heard enough." He mumbled before he decided to walk away from the greenhouse.
As he made it back into the living room, he found Jin and Nikolai sitting together with everyone else surrounding the coffee table.
It seemed like they were playing a game, And as Andrea approached them, he noticed the bottle that was spinning on the table.
"I'm back, I apologize for taking my time." Andrea announced his arrival.
"I seriously thought you drowned!" Nikolai said, "Sorry darling, I think I may have ate something bad earlier." Andrea replied while glancing at Jin.
"We decided to play truth or dare." Rudy said.
"Where's Seong-min and the others! Jin you should text her to come play!" Soo-Min said.
"Right, Where's my step daugh-! I mean where's Seong-min." Joel said next making Ha-yoon roll her eyes hard.
Chuckling, "I already sent her A message earlier, she's probably having fun talking with Minnie and Cyrus." Jin replied while picking his phone up to check if his sister replied or not.
"I'm here!" Seong-min said dashing into the living room, Minnie and Cyrus soon followed, "I see a bottle! I smell Truth or dare!" Minnie said enthusiastically.
When she saw that Minnie was back to her usual high spirit, Radka smiled.
...Few minutes later...
"What do you pick Jin, truth or dare?" Andrea asked, reluctant "Truth." Jin replied.
Andrea pouted while thinking about what to ask Jin, then suddenly he smiled big.
"Jin, What's something you're glad the world doesn't know about you?" Andrea asked.
And While Jin got confused and weirded by the question, the others in the room exchanged looks between them.
