It takes one assassin to know another.

"It's been some time since I heard my parents voices?" Nikolai wondered, " Your mom is asleep." Jin said while glancing at Radka, "Though I think your dad is still inside the house, I noticed him going in earlier." He added when he couldn't see Rushil around.

"He's probably on the phone then, earlier I think I heard his phone ringing... though if he is talking on the phone, it must be serious since he hasn't came back yet." Nikolai replied.

"You heard the Phone?...phone?...why do I feel like i forgot something?" Jin said, "Were you waiting for a phone call?" Nikolai asked.

"Oh shit! not waiting I was supposed to make the call myself! I forgot I promised Minnie that I would call her to check and see if she made it to her mom!" Jin replied jumping outside the pool in a hurry.

Bothered by Jin's sudden jump that caused him to get splashed, "You and your unreliable memory, Jinnie!" Nikolai replied.

"Give me your hand, I'll have to go inside since that's where my phone is, but I can't just leave you alone." Jin said.

"Boy you serious?! I'm not going anywhere! besides, it'll only take you few minutes to call her, and I'm not entirely alone with my mother here." Nikolai replied, "But she's asleep And your dad has yet to come back." Jin Said.

Sighing, "Alright, I'll come with you dammit.

And while you make your call, be useful and give me something to drink, I got thirsty from all this heat." Nikolai replied.

"Okay, come with me." Jin said helping Nikolai to get outside the pool, "And Hold onto me when you walk Niko, we splashed a lot so it's slippery around here." Jin said making Nikolai snigger.

"What's so funny?"

"Nothing, hehe."

Realizing it, Jin shook his head in disappointment, "You had a dirty thought when I said slippery, didn't you?" He asked unamused.

"Maybe." Nikolai said smirking, then the two of them made their way back inside.

After grabbing his phone, Jin and Nikolai sat down in the kitchen and Jin Had already poured another cold slushy for Nikolai to drink while he called Minnie.

"Since he's not here either, I wonder where your dad went, do you think he left the house?" Jin asked, " I don't know, maybe he went grocery shopping or something, I'm sure he'll be back soon." Nikolai said while drinking his slushy.

"So Rushil does all the housework here? even shopping?" Jin asked, "I heard from the girls protecting me that some of them sometimes help when He's unable to take care of the house himself, but yeah...on the regular, my dad does everything here, and he's pretty good especially when making food!" Nikolai replied.

"I see...Ugh, just What going on today?!" Jin worried voice caught Nikolai's attention, "What's happening?" He asked.

"Her phone has been ringing for a while now, but she's not picking up."

"Who, Minnie?"

"Yeah, this is strange and I can't help to have this bad feeling about it." Jin said.

"You think something happened to her?" Nikolai asked, "She knew I'd be calling her so it's weird she didn't pick up." Jin replied.

"Maybe she's still driving?" Nikolai said, "Her car got Bluetooth, she can pick up calls while driving." Jin replied.

"Okay, maybe she stopped somewhere and forgot her phone inside the car, or maybe it just ran out of battery?" Nikolai said.

"Minnie may appear carefree, but she's always prepared, these things can't just happen to her." Jin replied.

"Wow, you sound like you know Minnie from ages ago!...I can't say I'm surprised, my mom paired you two together for a reason." Nikolai said, "Hey, how about you wait for some time, then call her again and see if she picks up." He added suggesting.

"I don't know..."

"You're worrying yourself a little too much."

"I can't help it!"

"Any particular reason why you're so worried? one missed phone call isn't that concerning if you ask me."

"I have a reason...she could be in danger! but I don't like to assume without evidence."

"Liar, you've been assuming quite a lot lately, and without evidence." Nikolai said, "But I guess you're right to assume... lately things has been crazy enough.

Although this is Minnie we're talking about, she's a trainer bodyguard so have some faith." he added.

"Guess you're right, I should call her again later." Jin replied ending the call, "If you're too worried, maybe we can ask mom for help, I mean Minnie will surely pick up her call if she didn't to yours." Nikolai Said.

"Asking Radka for help sounds like a good idea, but she's asleep now and I don't think waking her up now is a good idea too

So I guess I'll wait sometime then call Minnie again, if she didn't pick up again, I'll ask for Radka's help." Jin replied.

"Great! now that you decided on a plan, can we go back swimming! I want to swim more before lunchtime." Nikolai said smiling, "Lunchtime, coming to think of it, your dad is not back yet." Jin replied.

"Seriously Jinnie relax! I get it you're a bodyguard but C'mon!"

"I'm sorry Niko I can't just relax! two people are already out of reach, you could be next."

"This isn't A horror movie!"

"You're right, it's worse! this is real life."

"There's no getting through you." Nikolai said sighing.

...Meanwhile...

"Lydia? Lydia? where did that girl go?" Joel said yawning, "Whatever! Good thing I called ahead yesterday and told them I'm not coming to work today!... it's unfair that cops have to work on 4th of July." Joel said as he entered his kitchen.

He was surprised to find breakfast waiting for him, "Holy shit! this looks amazing!" Joel said admiring the set-up.

There was everything from waffles to pancakes to fried eggs and mini sandwiches and juice.

"It was about time you woke up, if you woke up any later, this would've been your lunch." Soo-Min spoke from behind him, "Oh Hi Soo-Min!" Joel greeted her enthusiastically, then he realized something, "HEY SOO-MIN?! HOW DID YOU GET IN HERE?!" he asked surprised.

"Silly, I broke into your house of course!"

"Really?!"

"No I was joking, actually Lydia let me in earlier, she left sometime ago to get her cat back I think.

Anyways have a seat, I made all of this for you." Soo-Min said.

Blushing, "Oh! I see...thanks for the food." Joel replied taking a seat, "Btw, you're doing this cuz of yesterday, right?" he asked.

"Joel, You helped me yesterday so naturally I would return the favor, also I'm not being nice to you only because you saved my life.

Truth is, i kinda like you! you're adorable, reliable and I got to hand it to you Joel, I didn't expect you to be this weird of a man, you're unusual just like me." She explained.

Blushing even more, "Thanks! I guess being weird finally paid off!" Joel replied happily.

"It did...Anyways, I have a question... about those two, my sister and her driver.

Have you had the chance to speak with them yet?" Soo-Min asked, "Huh? Not yet.

They haven't woken up since yesterday, since they're being heavily drugged." Joel replied while eating a mini sandwich.

"Was it your idea to drug them heavily?"

"I couldn't care less but It was Lydia's idea, she continued drugging them even after treating their wounds, she said it's best if they don't wake up for now, considering Their injuries."

"What about Lydia herself, did she ask or tell you anything usual?" Soo-Min asked.

"No? what are you even talking about? it's almost as if you're trying to make sure I'm unaware of something?" Joel asked his own question.

...[Tiny Flashback]...

"Hey there, you must be Lydia." Soo-Min said as soon as Lydia opened the door, "You must be that girl's mother." Lydia replied while clutching something secretly behind her back.

Soo-Min noticed it and smiled, "So you already know who I am, impressive... and I rather you call me Soo-Min instead of that girl's mother." she said, "Alright? Before you say anything else, Soo-Min.

I just want you to know I never intended to harm your daughter, things got out of hand but it was nothing intentional from my side." Lydia replied.

"I believe you, don't worry...but you might as well get rid of the knife behind your back, I'm not a threat to you." Soo-Min said smiling as she pointed at Lydia.

"You've noticed..."

"It takes one assassin to know another."

"Assassin, you're a killer too..."

"You sound surprised?...Anyways, I retied sometimes after having my daughter, my career didn't last that long." Soo-Min replied, "Though I haven't lost my touch yet, practice makes perfect after all." she added as she walked inside the house.

Closing the door, "I see...Your daughter is so different from you, she couldn't even stab the man who threatened her life." Lydia said before walking towards the kitchen where Soo-Min was headed, she then placed the knife back where it belongs and watched as Soo-Min casually wore an apron.

"You'll be cooking?" Lydia asked, "Breakfast is the most important meal of the day! and as for my princess, well she has her father's heart...that man can't kill a mosquito even if it bit him a thousand times." Soo-Min replied.

"Interesting, Is you daughter aware of who you are? My family never hid what they did for a living from me, although I made sure that my little sister never saw what happens behind the curtains." Lydia said.

"I just told her yesterday...I had too." Soo-Min replied.

"The woman and man in the basement... what's your relationship with them?" Lydia asked, "Huh?" Soo-Min said.

"If you're here and you so casually spoke about being an assassin, that means you're the person Joel is helping... right?"

"Oh yeah! wait, he didn't tell you about me?" Soo-Min asked surprised.

"No, you just exposed yourself without realizing it... Anyways I need to know, who are they to you and whether you care about them." Lydia said, "The woman is my older sister, and the man is her driver whom I personally don't know.

As for care, I don't like her at all...we don't have a good relationship but I don't want her to die, yet." Soo-Min explained.

"Don't like her but don't want her dead... interesting."

"Why do you need to know all of this, Lydia?"

"Because I happened to know your sister, she tried to hire me sometime ago, but I refused...she didn't know then that I worked for Radka and I never told her about it."

"I knew it was you Lydia! she tried to hire you to kill Nikolai, that's how you knew his life was in danger and you protected him during the sniper incident!"

"Yeah, I see that you know about that too."

"That's why my sister ended up with bullet holes in the first place...She also tried to hire me, but I refused so she tried to kill me and then Joel saved my life."

"And now you're making breakfast in his kitchen...I have to hand it to you Soo-Min, you're one hell of a woman." Lydia said chuckling.

"You're full of surprises yourself, Lydia." Soo-Min said smiling, "You have no idea." Lydia replied before she started to leave the kitchen, "Where you going?" Soo-Min asked.

"Phone call, I need my cat back.

And btw, Joel doesn't know about your sister's connection to the sniper incident." Lydia replied, "Okay." Soo-Min said, but as Lydia left, Soo-Min remembered something strange that Lydia just said to her.

'She didn't know then that I worked for Radka and I never told her about it.'

"Why do I find that statement weird?" She wondered.

...[End if tiny flashback.]...

"Don't be silly Joel, Eat more sandwiches!" Soo-Min said smiling while stuffing another mini sandwich into Joel's mouth.
