Checking her phone that has just buzzed, "Ah-oh! Seems like I gotta be going!" Seong-min said.
Curious, Moses put down his sandwich and asked, "Is everything alright? Did something happen?"
"Probably Ha-yoon her roommate is checking on her." Cyrus said while sipping lemonade.
"It is actually my mother... my dad just asked her for the house address where I'm currently living at, that means he's already in town and really close by." Seong-min replied.
"Oh shoot! Guess I'll be going too, I promised Your mother and Ha-yoon to escort you back home safely." Cyrus said.
"That's very gentleman-like from you." Moses said to Cyrus, "Thanks, to be fair this girl gets herself into so much trouble and danger, it's like I really have to escort her!" Cyrus replied while pointing at Seong-min who yelled, "HEY! THAT'S NOT FAIR!"
"Gurl should I remind you, you almost became Flint's last victim!" Cyrus said before he realized what he said, "Oh shoot... shouldn't have said that..."
"You idiot!" Seong-min mumbled.
With wide eyes, "You have to be kidding me!? Seong-min are you the anonymous girl who Flint tried to kill before he committed suicide?!" Moses asked.
"Yeah, not exactly something I'm proud of..." Seong-min replied looking down.
"I'm so sorry you've been through that! I can't imagine how horrible it felt." Moses said, "Well I survived at least...haha" Seong-min awkwardly chuckled.
"I know that physical touch after such incidents could be extremely frightening, so may I have your consent to give you a hug? If that's okay with you Seong-min...if you don't want to, I can understand." Moses asked.
Surprised by his gentle offer, Seong-min nodded and Moses approached her slowly before he hugged her.
Since he was quite big of a man, Moses seemed for a second like he was Seong-min's father hugging her, "I'm glad you survived." Moses said.
Cyrus watched them with a guilty expression, Moses kind words and attitude seemed to be most comforting to Seong-min as she had a peaceful expression on her face while the Viking looking man gently and carefully hugged her.
...Meanwhile...
"Omg..." Jin suddenly uttered in disbelief while he helped Nikolai change clothes.
"What?" Nikolai asked, "Niko, I think I've been lied to!" Jin replied.
"Who lied to you?"
"Lydia!"
"What?"
"You know how although she seems a little bit confident and elegant when she talks, Lydia actually suffers from severe social anxiety and the only reason she was able to talk to us during that day where she saved Salvatore or even during the pool party we had at your parents house yesterday, was because she had to." Jin said.
"Yeah I know."
"The first time I heard about her severe social anxiety was during the Flint incident where my sister got kidnapped, because Rushil did the research on Lydia and told Radka and I that Lydia can't even shop on her own, because of how severe social anxiety is, she apparently orders everything online or on the phone, and gets things delivered to her apartment." Jin said.
"Yeah it's crazy, she can figh-off Mafia guys but can't buy milk carton!" Nikolai replied.
"Yeah which is why I think she lied to me... yesterday at the pool party, she came to me and volunteered to go and buy stuff for the party like junk food.
And she actually came back with those stuff! but earlier today when Minnie suggested to her to go shopping for some cosmetics, Lydia freaked out and said she can't do it Because of her social anxiety so Minnie offered to be the one to buy everything and said that Lydia doesn't have to talk to anyone." Jin said.
Surprised, "Hold on a sec, if I'm understanding what you're getting at?! this girl yesterday went and bought several items from actual real shops on her own, no online ordering no people delivering to her, she went herself but today she couldn't unless she had Minnie by her side?" Nikolai questioned.
"Exactly! and there's more...you didn't know about all of these things Since you were busy with the other girls, but A delivery actually happened yesterday, at the pool party somebody came and delivered a cake which was Cyrus's birthday cake to Lydia after she came back with the stuff she bought.
Later on she would ask for my permission to leave again so she could take the cake to Cyrus, But if she has managed to buy those stuff on her own, why didn't she just go and get the cake herself?!" Jin said.
"Oh no! That could only mean one of two things! either that Lydia somehow is lying about her social anxiety and she actually has no problem, or she went with someone who bought those things for her!" Nikolai speculated.
"But That's the thing! no matter which one of these answers is the right one, it doesn't change the fact that Lydia lied to me but also I don't think she was lying about having social anxiety, which means option number two is the most likely, that she went with someone.
But who is the someone? and why she didn't tell me? I'm pretty sure it wasn't Cyrus because he never mentioned anything like that, and I doubt it's my sister because she and Lydia aren't friends.
There is also the possibility that we don't know the person but then again if she decided to lie, it could also mean that we know the person she went with...do think I'm going crazy with this?" Jin asked.
"No you're good... you know Lydia doesn't have that many friends, my dad said so.
Still this could all be a misunderstanding, maybe Lydia was lucky to find a nice store clerk who helped her buy those things while causing minimum anxiety?" Nikolai replied.
"I feel like I should talk to her about this, figure out why she lied, I mean we were a team, she was supposed to tell me everything truthfully...
Anyways... I'm starting to feel like there's something wrong with the people in this town." Jin said.
"Is There something you know and you're not telling me, am i right? aside from Cyrus's visit what else happened that had you on edge today Jin? I mean I'm on edge since the day I came back to this town but you were pretty chill most of the time until recently and especially today.
You didn't even go one bit against my decision to leave my parents house... well aside from trying to get me to talk to my mom again." Nikolai questioned.
"To be honest with you Niko, I didn't know if what I heard was real or even reliable."
"So you heard something?" Nikolai asked.
"Unfortunately I did, this morning when I was talking with Minnie and Lydia and Lydia told us about her problem with Cyrus.
Long story short, Cyrus asked her out, but Lydia was feeling a bit nervous about dating him and didn't say yes to him right away, so Minnie suggested that Lydia should ask Cyrus on a date which led to the girls deciding to leave to buy some clothes and beauty products, so they can get Lydia ready for the date.
And I told them that they should ask your dad for permission before they leave, so Minnie volunteers to do that, and while she went to find your dad, I went to the guest room you were sleeping in so I can check on you.
But as I was coming out of the room, I heard Minnie and your dad talking, they mentioned somebody called boss lady... apparently She's a business owner like your mom...and she wants you dead." Jin said nervously.
"She what?!" Nikolai asked with wide eyes.
"If you've noticed already, we're not going to investigate the guy that used to stalk you and John Crawford anymore.
Like you said that guy probably wouldn't hire sniper, but a business woman would... Especially one with a business similar to your mother and the problem isn't just because she's a businesswoman, but it's the fact that she's Korean too..."
"You don't think you're related to her, do you?" Nikolai asked.
"To be fair just because she's Korean, doesn't mean her and I are related but it's just too much of a coincidence the things Mannie said..." Jin explained.
"What did she say, tell me?"
...Few minutes later...
"What if it's really Soo-Min?" Nikolai asked.
"Well, one thing I'm grateful for her actually, since she didn't go through with her sister's request to kill you and second, this is insane! I thought my mother is the only one but my sister's mother is an assassin too!
Seriously what is this? was there like a discount on assassin mothers?" Jin asked.
"My mother, your sister's mother, your mother... three different women all in the same line of work... it's insane! And btw do you really think your mother was an assassin too?" Nikolai questioned.
"At this point is there anything else to explain everything she knew how to do? Speaking multiple languages, all those martial arts and the fact that she had a collection of weapons, she has to have been something of that sort!" Jin replied.
"I guess your mother and my mother do seem like the type to kill, but Soo-Min she just looks like idk a harmless Woman!...not that I actually know what she looks like since I met her after I became blind but...you get what the idea." Nikolai said.
"I do...but Unfortunately I have a feeling that this is real, and I don't know what to do about it!
should I approach her and demand an answer? I mean after all you're in danger and if her sister wants you dead, I wanna know why?!" Jin replied.
"I'm still thinking about what you said...not only that Soo-Min refused to help her sister but she probably also put herself in a lot of danger, if she really left that day with her sister in the car I'm surprised she's back alive!" Nikolai said.
"Either that her sister was kind enough not to kill her or she wasn't and Soo-Min managed to survive." Jin replied.
"Soo-Min is really an example of you shouldn't judge a book by its cover." Nikolai said.
"I'm afraid the sister might still out there somewhere, and could still be a danger to you Niko...as long as you are in this town.
And the only way to confirm whether it's true or false...is by talking to Soo-Min herself." Jin replied.
"Then call her and tell her to come here for a private talk!" Nikolai suggested, "Do you think that's a safe option?" Jin asked.
"Are you scared she might attack me? if she refused to kill me I doubt that she'll try it just because we're about to question her." Nikolai replied.
"You're right besides I'm here if things escalate to that point... if she did eventually tried to hurt you, I guess I'm just gonna have to fight her off!" Jin said.
"Do you think you can take her down? I mean we don't know how strong she is?" Nikolai asked.
"I'll do my absolute best to protect you no matter what." Jin replied.
Smirking, "You know, I find this side of you extremely attractive." Nikolai said.
"What are you talking about Niko?"
"I'd like to believe that I'm a strong man who can protect himself, but having somebody else protect me, is kind of a turn on especially if he's super handsome and knows how to cook like you." Nikolai said.
Blushing, "You're way too horny these days " Jin replied.
"Can you blame me, I have an amazing boyfriend after all." Nikolai said, "You take good care of me.. who wouldn't be horny for that all the time?" He added with a giggle at the end.
Feeling his heart skip a beat, "You think I feel any different about you?" Jin replied.
