The moment Megan shown away from me, I woke up wondering where she was going to. After hearing he phone ring, understandin dawned on me therefore.

Since she was on tiptoes, it is difficult to hear her footsteps, besides, there was a carpet on the tiled floor.

I heard every single discussion she had with Mr. Nji. At first, I was bothered about who would call Megan at this hour of the day, but when I realized it was her boss, I calmed down. The conversation made me freeze especially after knowing that Megan was psychologically violated. It ached my heart to hear her boss say that.

This is practically my fault, I've been so selfish to the point that I didn't even allow Megan to go to work, and she left her work too just because of me.

I held Megan very tightly and when I heard her soft snores, I let out a breathe of relief knowing that she will have a moment of rest.
