A few hours before Achilles and his army spotted the enemy army, Maximus was sitting in Winterfell feeding the three new dragons which had grown just a little.
He named the first dragon, which was a female Saphira. She had dark red skin and her eyes were red as well, which matched her skin color. The second one was a male and was a little playful and often did funny things like getting clothes stuck on it's face or scaring some soldiers sometimes. Maximus named this one Mushu after the small Dragon off of the Disney movie Mulan.
The third dragon was the biggest of the three dragons and was also the fiercest, so Maximus gave it the name of Drake. Not after the Music artists, but because in Greek Drake means Dragon.
While he was playing with the dragons, one of the Ninja appeared in front of him kneeling "My Lord the plan has worked House Frey and his spies have spotted Achilles and his army marching towards the Twins and have gathered together a combined force with the Vale numbering around 40k soldiers" Said the Ninja
Maximus smirked, since House Frey and the vale didn't know that they were being drawn into a trap "Good the Royal Army led by Aleanna has already landed on the coast near Greywater watch and should be approaching Achilles and his army in a few hours"
Before Achilles had even left with his army, Maximus had already sent his army down to Old castle to take Sisterton which didn't take that long since they only had a small garrison. After taking the Sisterton is when Maximus had sent Achilles with his army to the Twins to cause a distraction and draw out the Vale and House Frey's soldiers.
The Vale would have already received news that the Sisterton was taken, so they would think that the army would try to attack Coldwater next, but instead Maximus had the army leave a small garrison while they sailed to the coast of Greywater watch and head to destroy the army at the Twins.
It was a good plan, since the Vale didn't know how fast the Imperial ships could sail, and they would expect it to take days if the Royal Army did decide to come and assist the small army sent to the Twins.
But the Imperial ships are way faster than what the Vale thought, and the Royal Army moves fast as well.
The Royal Army originally had 40k men but 10k were left at Sisterton as a garrison, leaving the Royal Army with 30k men, which was more than enough to fight an army of 40k men.
The Royal Army consisted of 15k Elven Spearman, 5k Elven Archers, 6k Mamluk Heavy Cavalry, and 4k Praetorian guards.
With them, they also had some new powerful Canons which were enchanted with Runes which are still in the testing stages but have proven to be successful in combat.
-----
Achilles right now was standing behind the Canons on top of the hill, looking in front of him as an army of 40k soldiers march onwards towards his army. His frontline soldiers were already prepared, waiting for the enemy to start charging.
Achilles raised his hand, signalling for the archers to take aim. The Archers aimed their bows in the sky just enough to be able to reach the enemy.
Once the army crossed a certain point, Achilles ordered "Loose" as the archers released their first volley. Some arrows were blocked by a shield, while some hit their targets.
Achilles left it to one of the officers to continue having the archers release volley's after volleys until the enemy got too close. He then went to the horseman as he was going to lead them for a counter charge against the enemy Cavalry, but the Artillery was taking care of them.
Still some horseman still made it past and had clashed with the frontline which was still holding. The enemy infantry had made it to the frontline and was now fighting the soldiers in the frontline, who were being overwhelmed.
Achilles saw that the frontline wouldn't last that long, especially when more of the enemy infantry kept charging in, so he got off of his horse to help the front line, but then he heard the sound of a horn.
He turned around, saw the Royal Army approaching from behind them. The Elven Spearman had joined in the battle and were pushing the enemy back, while the Mamluks were flanking around the enemy army.
The Vale Lords who were in the battle had tried to signal for a retreat, but his head was taken off by an arrow, leaving the enemy down one leader.
What was supposed to be an easy battle for the Vale just turned into a battle for survival.
