Chapter 22

In King's landing, news of a Kingdom arising in Essos were spreading throughout Westeros. Many Lords didn't see this as anything important for them to pay attention to, while others wanted to know more about this information.

While in Essos most cities and their council or leaders has sent warnings for Greg to return Lorath back to a council of Magisters. Greg of course didn't heed these warnings and only ripped the paper and burned it in a fire.

Ignoring the threats and warnings from the other free cities' councils, Greg had finished his plans to improve the economy of Lorath so that the city can start to be self-sufficient for itself.

The First thing that was Greg had the city start to make was glass better than the glass already present. After the glass, Many things from his world like Ancient China were introduced, followed by things from Japan and Europe.

All the things Greg had introduced were some traditions and cultural things that they did and some of their inventions. He didn't force any of these things on them, and instead allowed the people to accept them or not.

Many were hesitant at first to accept these things, but after seeing others wearing them and using them, others started to get interested and started buying them.

After a few months, the people in the city have begun to like these traditions and the new fashion that everybody is using. Mostly it was the European fashion that they liked to wear, but some foreign merchants liked the Chinese and Japanese fashion as well.

How was the Kingdom able to make so many clothes, well, Greg had the soldiers that surrendered build a new building in the city and this building would be used to make thousands of clothes for the city. He got people from the System who would teach others how to make these clothes.

And by teaching others he can pay them a salary which would put money into the people's pockets and allow them to buy things in the Kingdom. It would also give people a job in the city and encourage nationalism, since the clothes produced would only come from Lorath.

And will increase Greg's favor since he is giving them jobs and to feed their families. The overall support for Greg's rule of the city is already well over 80% and that happened in 9 Months of his rule.

These 9 months, all Greg has been doing is improving his city. Most of the city is starting to look more and more like Ancient Rome, and the hygiene of the city is similar as well.

Merchants were starting to come more and more after seeing the clothes from Lorath worn by other Merchants.

Lorath has become a very influential trading city behind Braavos. Braavos has been getting a little heated since Greg has had his fleet of ships take control of Lorath Bay from Braavos these ships while few are strong since they have been outfitted with cannons.

Only 4 ships so far were outfitted with Cannons since making them was hard since the Kingdom didn't have lots of resources in their land and most of it had to be bought from merchants or found in the lands of other kingdoms.

But soon Greg would start expanding outwards, his first target was Norvos. He chose Norvos because it was one of two of the inland free cities, and also it would give him a place to rest and gather his army on the mainland.

Norvos was mainly a religious city and is controlled by the high priest of the city. While there is a council of Magisters, the true rulers of the city are the priest.

While Greg could care less about religion and the sort, he knows that it will be a key part in the future since most people believed in religion above all else and some would even kill for it, but he has plans for that when the times come.

Religion was also a thing in Lorath only it became less important since the rise in the traditions and customs, but there were still a fair amount of people that worshiped their religion in the city.

These people were waiting for their chance to strike and have been moving around in the dark looking to strike and make people remember religion and make the sinners pay. The religious priest have considered most of the people to be sinners forgetting their god.

These priests were sent by Norvos who wanted to disrupt the peace and restore religion to the city and return it into a free city.

In the streets of the Kingdom walking was Aleanna who was returning to the Palace that was done being built. She was at the barracks, working with General Rin to come up with plans for training new recruits.

General Rin would normally be meeting with Greg but since Greg was busy Aleanna was sent to discuss a plan. On her way back, she was walking with a group of guards as some people bowed to her and expressed their gratitude for their improved lives, telling her to tell Greg they were happy.

As she walked through the city, she had noticed that there were not a lot of people the more she walked, so she put her hand on her sword since she had a bad feeling.

And soon enough her and her 6 guards were surrounded as behind them a group of people came out and in front of them as well. These men all had face coverings.

Aleanna slightly pulled her sword out and spoke, "I don't know what it is that you are here for but if you don't want any trouble I suggest you clear out immediately" Said Aleanna warning them

"You a Bitch leading soldiers such a thing spits in the face of our god but if you lay down your weapons and repent then your sins will be forgiven" Said a man

From above, a man dressed all in black was watching the whole thing transpire until he had enough, so he jumped down and landed in between Aleanna and the group of men.

Aleanna looked at the man and knew exactly who he was and sheathed her weapon. The man in question was a shadow since his name couldn't be revealed, so he was called shadow

"You believers and your religion need to return to Norvos where you belong and away from the city so the King has offered his mercy and will allow you to leave and if you refuse" said Shadow as he whistled

A group of guards had come surrounding all of the believers. "Then you will all be sentenced to death in the name of the King" Said Shadow

"The God's wrath will give us strength to defeat you sinners, so let us let the Gods decide this battle" Said one of the believers as they all charged

Aleanna unsheathed her sword and begin slashing at every believer, killing them instantly. All the guards started killing the believers, giving no mercy.

The fight or brawl only lasted a couple of minutes, as the believers all died. Aleanna ordered the guards to clean up these believers and send them back to Norvos as a warning, while she returned to the Palace as she intended to from the beginning.
