11 Chapter 11

The next day Greg was preparing to head out of town and head to Ashford which was a town located in the Reach territory he had planned to visit there and then head to Highgarden where a tournament will happen and lots of lords and ladies and knights will attend the tournament in hope of showing their might to Lord Mace Tyrell in hopes of getting in his favor but Greg just wanted to win the tournament money since he will need that for the future once he officially begins building his Empire he didn't care about earning favor with Lord Mace Tyrell since he will probably in the future become an enemy of Greg as is most of the other rulers of Westeros since once he invades Westeros all lords will be against him.

As Greg was traveling along the road to Ashford riding his horse he had stopped to rest along with the other 20 men that he brought with him and as he was resting a spy had come out of the shadows

"My Lord I have made contact with Daenerys Targaryen who is eager to leave the clutches of her brother though she is hesitant since she doesn't know you so she requests an in-person meeting so she can make her decision," Said the spy

"Good Good I will arrive there within the next couple of months and meet her so hopefully she can agree to join us since I know that she doesn't want to be married off to some Dothraki so once I am done exploring and such in Westeros I will meet you outside of Pentos," Said Greg since he wanted to relax in Westeros for a little since he knows that once he starts to implement his plans he will not have time to adventure and explore

The Spy nodded and then disappeared into the shadows leaving Greg to relax on the tree. It wasn't long before he continued his journey to Ashford and arrived at the town within 2 more days of travel.

Ashford is an appealing market town whose whitewashed houses have thatched roofs and Ashford castle is a small castle built in the shape of a triangle, with round towers thirty feet tall at each point. Between the towers run thick crenelated walls. The orange banners of House Ashford fly from its battlements.

As Greg entered Ashford he had gone to rent an inn until the next day when the tournament would happen in the meantime he went and looked around Ashford enjoying the view of people buying things and kids playing while he remembered that soon once the war starts most of this won't be so peaceful and things will change.

After looking around Ashford Greg had returned to the Inn after buying a few things mainly weapons and some armor since he liked the look of the Reach armor and the design.

The Next day Greg had gone to sign up for the tournament which was taking place along with Alaenna who also wanted to Join the Tournament

The Tournament was a typical Jousting Tournament in which people will compete with each other by charging at each other on their individual horses attempting to knock each other off and win. Greg had experience in jousting from his time in Essos so he was experienced in this field and thought he could win but he knew that his competition probably has competed in more tournaments than him and was more experienced.

Greg had to fight 4 people in the jousting tournament to advance to the finals and he had won those 4 fights but the last fight almost caused him to lose since his opponent was faster than he thought but in the end, he won and advanced to the finals.

In the final jousting, he was going against Aleanna who had demolished all the competition before her, and now she was going against Greg who was not confident in winning this tournament but he would still try. He could see that Aleanna was hesitant to fight him but he just gave her a thumbs up letting her know it was alright.

As both Greg and Aleanna charged at each other with their lance and their shield in hand Greg had trusted near her chest area hoping to knock her off but Aleanna dodged his attack and countered with a hit to his side which almost made him fall off but with his balance, he was able to stay on his horse.

They had come back around again to charge at each other and this time Greg was planning to fake a hit to her chest area and hit her side and knock her off balance causing her to fall off of her horse.

As they got closer Greg had implemented his plan but unfortunately, she blocked it with her shield leaving Greg wide open to an attack so she took the chance to hit the center of his chest which knocked him off his horse and caused Aleanna to win.

The crowd was surprised since for the first time a woman had won a jousting tournament against a man.

Aleanna had quickly taken off her helmet and ran to where Greg was on the ground and helped him while apologizing

"It's alright I told you from the start to not go easy on me and you did so no need to worry" Said Greg as he patted her head

Aleanna who was a little shorter than Greg looked like a child being pampered by their father as her face was blushing. She quickly moved back since she knew that Greg was just teasing her and she wouldn't allow him to continue especially not in front of all these people.

After Aleanna was awarded her award which was 10k Gold she had followed Greg back to the inn that they were staying in but then they were stopped by somebody who was wearing some expensive armor and had some guards with them.
