Building A New World

Every monster species has a powerful essence they draw from for strength. It comes from a primordial force dormant in their bodies that allowed their ancestors to rival the demon clans throughout the dark ages. Long ago they were completely controlled by these primordial instincts. They would fight among the other species over land or human mates. As time went on the demon clans began to feel threatened by the increased number of monster species appearing around the world. Worried they would one day be overwhelmed the demons took action. The demons began to oppress humanity and culled their numbers as much as possible. When the other species saw this they began forming factions to engage the demons. The result was a constant war waged among the lands. Humans scattered across the world trying to find places to avoid their extinction. Some humans found sanctuary in the elven cities hidden within the forest. Seeing them on the verge of extinction elves taught humans magic to protect themselves, but it wasn't enough. These battles plaguing the earth caused the angels to descend to protect humanity. As the demons, and angels clashed it almost broke the world. This led to a ceasefire, and a treaty was established. The world was rebuilt into a new landmass for the survivors that remained. This event came to be known as the first dark age and occurred over a thousand years ago. Since then three more dark ages have plagued the land. Due to this history, many humans consider these monster species to be evil, and it's why so many conflicts exist today. This story follows a young Nephilim named a century after the fourth dark age. After a tragic loss, Zack has had problems of opening up to others. Because of this, he's traveled alone for the past two years, but one day he meets a demon that changes everything. --- https://discord.gg/8zjAdmNtHB Has polls that involve the story, character list, the R-rated scenes marked, and a full-size pic of the cover.

Chapter 154

"I'll be back in a minute," Zack told Mero kissing her on the cheek.

"Didn't mean to interrupt your meeting, but we are getting ready to leave." Harald apologized as they walked off to the side.

"No worries man. What did you need?" Zack asked.

"We've seen you starting alliances with others, and were curious if you could use our services," Harald replied.

"Their land isn't suitable for farming, and they have to rely on livestock to make it through the winter," Vicente stated.

"We have more than enough food stored up so take what you need. Use these to connect our cities to make it easier in the future." Zack said as he retrieved a ring.

"We wanna work for the food not receive handouts. There's gotta be something you need." Harald replied.

"They already told me about the guildhall being built here so you will spend a lot of time with us anyway. If you connect to our waystation working together would be easy. You could even access the various hunting grounds we've established to help feed your people. The contents of this ring are to start that alliance between our people. Would you really call that a handout?" Zack asked Harald.

Harald knew there were intending to engage the slavers, and forming an alliance would truly benefit them both greatly. It still appeared they were receiving the better end of the deal, and Harald wanted to offer more. Vicente could feel they still needed a push to make it official and knew just the thing.

"You know they have the best shipbuilders in the neutral territory. I've witnessed them withstand magic and siege weapons." Vicente stated.

Zack knew boats could help expand their fishing efforts. It would also allow them to start preparing a navy for defending their coast. They agreed on the terms, and Harald went on his voyage back home. While Zack was returning to his seat the guest slowly returned to the table. Each of them seemed excited about their new home, and some even began shifting their forms to explore the grounds with the nereids as their guide.

The only ones that remained at the table are the unagi joro because they haven't mastered the ability to walk the land. They could still slither about for an hour or so if need, but it was too tedious. The only thing that could entice them to roam the land would be when mates were lacking.

"Did you find a comfortable place?" Zack asked.

"I did, but there was something missing," Kim replied sliding close to him.

"What do you need?" Zack asked.

Kim leaned against him trailing her hands down his chest. The slippery texture of her skin was the first thing Zack noticed, and it made him curious about other parts of her anatomy. Kim was preparing to drag Zack away to look at the 'arrangements' she needed. Mero saw what Kim was doing, and pulled him closer.

"It's my time right now," Mero said with a defensive glare.

"Play nice," Zack smirked wrapping his arm around her.

Mero heard this thinking she was being scolded and lowered her head. Zack patted her on the head and tussled her hair playfully

"I'm not mad at you now come here." Zack smiled.

Mero nuzzled her head against his chest as he stroke her hair.

"You truly are welcoming of other species." Vanora teased.

"Is it taboo for you?" Zack asked.

"No, it's actually encouraged to find a human mate. We are lacking in the male department right now so it's the only way to continue forward with the species." Vanora replied.

"We can share if you want." Mero offered Vanora.

"You just got mad at me for the exact same thing," Kim stated.

"You tried to take him away from me that makes it different," Mero replied.

"So you don't mind when I do this?" Kim asked pressing against Zack and grabbing his dick.

Mero shook her head.

"Well, I do," Zack stated.

Kim pulled her hand away looking down at her tail. She had a down look on her face thinking it was her appearance. Zack looked over to see her covering her stomach and hiding from his gaze. He pulled Kim close grabbing the fin on her hip.

"You're beautiful tail, and all," Zack whispered running his hand down her body.

"Then what's the problem?" Kim asked rubbing his cock.

"We do that with less of an audience running around," Zack replied.

"I see. We could find somewhere quiet you know." Kim whispered.

"I would, but I already have plans for tonight," Zack replied.

"You sure I can't convince you?" Kim asked while pressing up against him.

Kim spent the next thirty minutes attempting to seduce him, and with how slippery her skin felt Zack was almost tempted. His willpower held strong, and he took a rain check on the event. With representatives leaving Zack went to check on his other comrades. Walking over he saw his usual table being lively, and to his surprise, there was no fighting. Seeing Zack's return they all began making space. A series of glares broke out between Kaya, and Octavia as they waited for him to make his choice. Zack decided to sit with Yu, and Yuki since they were the only ones smiling.

"I know you can get along better," Zack told the others while wrapping his arm around Yu, and Yuki.

"Sharing is our way." Yu smiled.

Zack kissed Yu on the cheek as he rubbed the fluff on her arm tenderly.

"We got some new residents in the aquatic district, but I'm still unsure on the exact numbers," Zack told Dyna.

"I'll go check right away," Dyna replied preparing to get up.

"I was only telling you as an update. It can wait till tomorrow so sit with us." Zack smiled.

Dyna nodded sitting back down with Lilith.

"Where's Ren at?" Zack asked looking around.

"She went towards the training grounds with somebody," Octavia replied.

"I have a request to make, and I hope you show some consideration in your response," Zack announced to his companions.

"What is it?" Yuki asked.

"Could everyone sleep in their room tonight?" Zack requested.

"Why?" Yu asked looking up at him.

"We've all gotten plenty of time together lately, but someone here has never gotten that opportunity," Zack replied looking at Octavia.

Octavia was blushing to hear his response. She tried several times to make a move on Zack in the past, but they were all shut down. Knowing Zack wanted to be alone with her filled Octavia with joy. She expected some resistance in his request, but they all agreed without a second thought. Even Kaya nodded in acceptance and kept her complaints to herself.

The only reason Kaya didn't like Octavia was due to the wounds she inflicted on Zack. She knew if Octavia was to lose control again Zack would get involved without hesitation. He managed to bring her back this time, but next time the injuries could be more severe. Zack could easily end up in the same situation where they would have to struggle to keep him alive. This wasn't a concern shown by Kaya alone, but she was the only one holding a grudge about it. It was her fear of losing another loved one that caused her to lash out at Octavia.
