Chapter 19 : System Shop

Felix and Nixie strolled out of the building, with a wide grin on Felix's face while Nixie still wore a pout. Felix glanced at Nixie and shook his head, "Ok, stop sulking, you're not a child."

"But big bro, thanks to the old man, he sold his building to us for 10,000 Gold Coins, which is a lot," Nixie pouted. "And big bro, why didn't you negotiate the price with him?" she asked, looking confused.

"Nixie, like I said before, the location of the building is perfect. The foot traffic here is ten times more than other places in the district. The building is closer to the entrance, and if you look closely, there are no restaurants or food places within a fifty-kilometer radius. Plus, the surrounding land belongs to the owner, and he sold both the land and building together for 10,000 Gold Coins, which is a great deal," Felix explained with a smile.

"But it's still expensive," Nixie muttered.

Felix tousled her pink hair, "Don't worry, we'll make more money than that. And the old man was really nice, he was the only one who welcomed us into his shop."

"Hmmm," Nixie nodded and smiled.

"Let's hurry back before Trinity and the others start to worry," Felix said, glancing at the setting sun.

He hadn't realized they had been out for so long.

An hour later, Felix and Nixie finally returned to the slums and headed to their residence as the sun began to set.

Inside, Trinity and Gwendolyn had already come back from buying clothes.

"What's taking them so long?" Trinity paced back and forth in the yard, looking worried.

Zephyr, Brixton, and Gwendolyn were also concerned but remained calmer.

"Hey big sister, just relax. Maybe they're on their way right now," Zephyr tried to reassure her.

"Yeah, big sis, you need to calm down," Brixton added.

"How can I calm down? Look, the sun is almost setting. Maybe something bad happened to them," Trinity said, her golden pupils filled with worry.

"I'm going to look for them," Trinity said as she immediately headed towards the entrance.

"Okay, Trinity, you need to calm down. Nothing will happen to them," Gwendolyn said as she held her back.

Just then, the wooden door at the entrance creaked open as Felix and Nixie walked inside, talking and laughing.

Felix looked surprised. "Oh, everyone is here. I have something to tell you," he said with a smile.

"Big bro, you guys are finally back!" Brixton smiled and playfully punched Felix's shoulder. Zephyr and the others sighed with relief when they saw Felix and Nixie return.

"We've been worried about you guys. Big sis even wanted to go look for you," Zephyr said.

Felix was both surprised and touched.

"Where have you two been, huh? Do you know how worried I was?" Trinity broke free from Gwendolyn's grasp and approached them.

"Good, both of you are still intact," Trinity patted her chest and sighed in relief.

Felix was speechless. "What do you mean 'still intact'? Did you expect us to be missing an arm or leg?" he thought with amusement.

"Sorry for letting you guys worry about us. Something else came up," Felix scratched his head.

"Did something happen?" Trinity asked.

"I'll tell you guys later," Felix shook his head.

"Big brother Felix!" Suddenly, a cute and childish voice sounded as Una came running towards Felix with her short legs.

Felix smiled as he opened his arms, and Una immediately jumped into his embrace.

"Big brother, where did you go? Una misses big brother," Una said with a pout.

"Big brother also misses Una very much," Felix smiled as he held Una in his arms and kissed her cheeks.

Una immediately broke into a cute smile.

Felix truly loved this little girl, as she gave him a special feeling that always calmed his heart when she was near. It was a feeling he cherished deeply.

It's not like he have some weird fetishes,please get that thought out of your mind.

" Alright you guys should go and take your bath, dinner will be ready in thirty minutes " Trinity smiled and said.

Felix nodded, put down Una, and headed towards his room.

" What! You big bro cried, pftth ha ha ha ha" Brixton burst into laughter.

Trinity and Zephyr were also smiling even Gwendolyn who usually have an expressionless face was also giggling.

Currently all of them were sitting around the table eating dinner while talking and Nixie this little girl was telling Trinity and the others about the story he told to Chef Gideon and all the emotions he made. Which is why all of them is now laughing.

" Big bro I didn't expect you to be shameless as to lie to Chef Gideon " Brixton shook his head and remarked.

" Yeah, you are truly evil, to use such tactics to deceive such an old man " Zephyr also chimed in.

Trinity giggled, " " I really wanted to see your crying face, Damm it would have been very interesting to look it ".

While Gwendolyn's lips curled up in a rare smile as she looked at Felix.

Felix looked helplessly at Trinity and the others as they made fun of him, shooting Nixie a glare

Nixie simply smiled and stuck out her tongue playfully.

"Could you please refrain from laughing at me? I have an important announcement to make," Felix stated firmly.

Trinity and the others ceased their laughter and turned their attention to Felix, although they struggled to suppress their smiles. Felix shook his head at their reaction.

"I have already secured a prime location for the restaurant. Tomorrow morning, I will finalize the necessary arrangements with the owner," Felix informed them.

"Oh, you've already found a location for the restaurant? Where is it?" Trinity inquired with curiosity.

"It's in the Audaz District," Felix replied.

"What! Audaz District?" Trinity and the others, except for Nixie, looked at Felix in disbelief.

"What's with that reaction? It's just the Audaz District," Felix remarked casually.

"Brother, just the Audaz District? That area is for the wealthy. How can ordinary people like us open a restaurant there? Not to mention, purchasing property in that area is exorbitantly expensive," Brixton expressed speechlessly, with the others nodding in agreement.

"Come on, we're not opening a regular restaurant. We're aiming for the high-end market. We're going to establish a high-class restaurant catering to the affluent and powerful," Felix declared with a wide grin.

"How much did you pay for the building?" Trinity inquired.

"10,000 Gold Coins," Felix stated nonchalantly.

"What! You bought a building for 10,000 Gold Coins? Are you out of your mind?" Trinity exclaimed, rising to her feet and glaring at Felix.

"Please, let me explain," Felix heart skipped a beat as he quickly responded to Trinity's glare.

" Ok you better explain yourself " Trinity snorted and sat back down.

Felix rapidly nodded and wiped the sweat on his forehead and heaved a sign of relief.

" Damm, how can this girl be scary when. She is angry ". Felix thought.

Felix immediately came to his senses and proceeded to outline the advantages of the building's location and the surrounding land, which justified the hefty price tag of 10,000 Gold Coins.

Trinity and the others fell into deep thought after hearing Felix's explanation.

As they looked at their pensive faces, Felix confidently stated, "We have a 1 Star Spirit Chef on our team, so it won't be long before we not only recover this amount of money but also earn even more."

Trinity narrowed her eyes with a cold glint and warned, "You better make this work, or else..."

Felix quickly nodded and replied, "Yeah, I believe this will work."

" Fuck, how can a grown man like me be scared if this girl, just you wait " Felix gritted his teeth as he thought.

The next morning, Felix woke up early and took 10,000 Gold Coins to the Audaz District to complete the formalities. This time, he bought a carriage pulled by an ordinary horse, which made his journey to the district quick and easy.

Upon arriving at the old man's building, Felix called out, "Hello, old man, are you there?"

The old man's voice floated from inside the building, "Yes, come in."

Felix smiled as he entered the building and saw the old man leaning on a chair with a subtle smile.

The old man greeted him, "Young man, you are here."

Felix replied, "Yes, I've brought the money."

The old man stood up and handed Felix the deeds of the building and surrounding land. After inspecting the papers and finding no faults, Felix handed over the 10,000 Gold Coins.

The old man smiled and said, "Okay, young man, from now on, this building and the surrounding land are yours."

" Thank You old man " Felix said.

" Ok, I'm going I hope you take care of this place " The old man took one looked around and sign softly before leaving the building.

" Don't worry old man I'll take good care of this place" Felix sent the old man outside the door.

The elderly man slowly walked away into the distance, blending in with the crowd passing by. Felix watched as the old man disappeared and then turned his attention back to the building.

As Felix turned back to the building, the old man glanced back one last time, smiled softly, and slowly vanished as if he had never been there at all.

Inside the building, Felix looked around with a satisfied smile.

"System, show me my status window," Felix called out in his mind.

"System, open the System Shop," Felix said eagerly. His status window disappeared, replaced by a new holographic screen.

The System Shop appeared, showing the Food and Beverages industry. Felix clicked on the Restaurant Section, and another screen popped up.

In the Restaurant Section, he saw options for Buildings, Waiters Uniform, Waitress Uniform, Chef Uniform,Valet Uniform and Wine.

Felix clicked on the Building Section.

Rows of beautiful and luxurious restaurant buildings appeared before him. Felix was excited as he looked at the hundreds of models. There were luxurious buildings, elegant and classy buildings, simple buildings but excuding grandeur and other others and divided into 1 Star to 9 Star.

Felix was left speechless as he gazed at the exorbitant prices of the restaurant buildings. His eyes widened in disbelief as he saw the price tag on the 9 Star Restaurant Buildings.

"Huff, don't look at the price or I'll have a heart attack," Felix muttered to himself, trying to calm his racing heart.

As he scrolled down, each subsequent price left him at a loss for words. However, when he reached the 1 Star Restaurant Buildings, he felt a glimmer of hope.

With 60,000 BEP in his possession, he could finally afford a building.

Clicking on the 1 Star Restaurant Buildings, Felix was presented with various models, all boasting five floors.

After browsing through the options, he finally found one that caught his eye. The building was a luxurious sight, with a white exterior accented by golden lines, radiating grandeur and elegance.

Priced at 50,000 BEP, fortunately the building came with all the necessary facilities.

Without hesitation, Felix selected the building.

" System, I choose this restaurant building," he declared.
