Chapter 1 : Felix Morningstar

"Ugh, my head," Felix groaned as he held his head and rubbed his temples with a pained expression.

After a moment, his eyes widened slightly as he felt a cold chill below him. Glancing around, he realized he was lying on a hard, cold floor. Quickly scanning the unfamiliar environment, his mouth fell open in surprise.

"Wait, wait, wait, what's going on? Wasn't I blown to pieces when the plane exploded? How come I'm here now?" Felix had a dazed look as confusion enveloped his mind.

He vividly remembered his private jet exploding and was certain he had died. So why was he suddenly here? Felix tried to make sense of the situation.

Suddenly, an intense and excruciating pain shot through his brain. His face turned as white as a sheet of paper, and tiny beads of sweat dripped down his forehead.

" Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh! "

Felix was in agony, clutching his head and rolling on the ground, screaming at the top of his lungs. It felt like a swarm of ants was attacking his brain,huge and strange foreign information were being injected into his mind.

He didn't want to see these information, he just wanted the pain to stop. After five to ten minutes, the pain finally subsided.

" Huff, huff, huff "

Gasping for air, Felix lay on the cold ground, drenched in sweat. His face, once contorted in pain, now looked pale and calm.

He wondered what had caused the sudden assault of pain and struggled to get up, only to be hit with another wave of agony coursing through his body.

" F**k , what the hell! " , Taking deep breaths, Felix cursed under his breath, trying to make sense of what was happening.

Eventually, he managed to sit up and lean against a nearby wall, still catching his breath. The pain he had just endured was unlike anything he had ever felt before in all his years. It felt like he had just survived a disaster.

Leaning against the wall, Felix was still sweating profusely, even though the pain in his brain had subsided. The pain in his body, however, was really taking a toll on him.

Suddenly, Felix felt something strange tugging at his soul. His expression became odd, as he had never felt anything like it before. He slowly closed his eyes.

A few moments later, his eyes snapped open. Fear, shock, happiness, and a mix of emotions brewed violently in his eyes. His jaw dropped, his eyes widened, and he sat rooted to the spot, feeling bewildered, dumbfounded, and confused. Then, his face changed drastically.

"Where am I? Why am I here? What's going on?" Felix asked three questions in a row, but unfortunately, there was no one there to answer him.

"Have I been reborn in another world?" Felix took a deep breath as this thought crossed his mind. Yes, that was the conclusion he came to because what had just happened to him felt like being reborn or what people usually called transmigration. Yes, that's right - Felix had been reborn, but what was special was that his soul had traveled from another world to this new one. Felix came from a completely different world called Earth.

On Earth, he was an orphan. He had been found in a trash can with only a short letter and his first name, Felix. Since he didn't have a surname, the dean of the orphanage gave him the surname Morningstar. In the orphanage, children were given names in alphabetical order, but because he already had a first name, he was given the surname Morningstar since it concluded with the letter M in the alphabetical order of names in the orphanage.

During his childhood in the orphanage, Felix was found to be exceptionally smart for his age. He learned to talk at just one year old and started recognizing characters at two years old. He could pick up anything and learn it with extreme ease.

While other kids his age were busy playing in the mud and hiding during games of hide and seek, Felix was busy soaking up elementary school knowledge.

Due to his high intelligence, he was often picked on by the other children at the orphanage.

The dean and caretakers would always compare the other kids to Felix, which made everyone unhappy. No one wanted to play with him, so he was always left alone in a corner.

Despite the bullying, Felix started school at the age of three and was always at the top of his class. He excelled in all his exams, won competitions, and became a bit of a local celebrity.

He became what people called "Someone else's child" because parents would use him as an example for their own kids to follow. This made it hard for Felix to make true friends.

This continued on until high school, the bullying became quite a frequent occurrence when he made it to high school.

Due to the relentless bullying, Felix learned a few defensive skills to defend himself. With his high IQ, learning these techniques came easily to him.

As a result, he was able to stand up to his bullies and even outsmart them with a few tricks.

One time, he even managed to trick his bullies into getting into a fight with a local gang near his high school.

He was always the first choice for adoption at the orphanage.But Felix knew that all these people wanted to only use him for their own selfish gains and desire.

He refused every adoption offer and eventually moved out of the orphanage when he was about to attend university in a different city. He rented a small apartment, studied in the mornings, and worked part-time at night.

With his high IQ, he quickly made a lot of money, bought tons of books, and studied subjects ranging from finance to marketing mathematics to physics, biology, chemistry computer science to economics to philosophy.

Felix was a real brainiac - he could learn just about anything and everything. He could speak twenty different languages fluently, thanks to his amazing memory and high comprehension.

He was studying finance at university and was making a ton of money in the stock market with his high IQ and extreme foresight. By the time he was 19, he was already a millionaire, achieving financial freedom and living the dream.

In his fourth year of university, Felix started his own investment firm. He had a knack for picking winning stocks and companies, earning him the nickname "Midas Touch." Various companies wanted him to invest them, and he quickly became one of the youngest billionaires in the world.

His Investment Firm became one of the Top Fortune 500 Companies, he also topped the Forbes List as one of the youngest billionaire on Earth.

Despite all his wealth and power, Felix was always alone. People only wanted to be around him for what they could get, not because they actually cared about him. He had no real friends or anyone to talk to when he was feeling down.

He didn't trust anyone except himself.

But life has a funny way of throwing curveballs.

On June 29, 2024, Felix was getting ready for a business trip on his private jet.

Little did he know, his life was about to change in ways he never could have imagined.

While flying above the Atlantic Ocean, his private plane suddenly shook violently. Before he could ask the pilot what was going on, the plane exploded into a ball of fire, completely engulfing him. He thought he was dead, but to his surprise, he woke up in an entirely different world. It felt like he had been reborn, something he thought only happened in novels. Little did he expect it would happen to him.

Felix was always busy managing his company, but in his free time, he would occasionally read online novels. So he knew what being reborn or transmigration means.
