Chapter -11: Second and Third Wife.

"Rennes, I can't assist you in having a child right now. Why not consider marrying a few more women? I genuinely don't mind," Janice murmured as she nestled in Rennes' arms after a tempestuous night. She was well aware of her husband's desire for children. To preserve their marital bond and fortify the Pendragon family lineage, she was willing to support him in seeking other wives.

As a noble, having multiple wives was customary, yet Rennes stood out for his unwavering devotion. This is why Janice felt indebted to him.

"Please, cease jesting! You're the only one I love," Rennes swiftly responded, suspecting his wife might be testing him.

"I'm not joking. That half-elf girl from the Adventure Team is quite promising. She possesses striking beauty and a remarkable figure. Marrying her would undoubtedly facilitate your desire for more offspring, Rennes."

"Furthermore, the Baron Kahn and Baron Pauly have daughters of marriageable age who are equally beautiful. If you wish, you can pursue them as well. With the current power and prestige of the Pendragon family, I believe they would not reject such a union," Janice earnestly analyzed.

"..."

Witnessing his wife's increasingly audacious suggestions, Rennes was left utterly speechless. What had gotten into Janice today? Could she be intoxicated? Why else would she suddenly entertain the idea of finding him additional wives and children? Unable to fathom his wife's motives, Rennes decided to steer the conversation in a different direction and put the matter to rest. Little did he know, he had vastly underestimated Janice's determination. Recognizing that she could not bear another child in the near future, she resolved to find her husband more wives to free herself from the burdens of childbearing.

Living this way had started to weigh on her, and she sought help from her mother-in-law, Evelyn. With Evelyn's approval and Janice's strategic planning, their plan was set into motion.

Several months later, Rennes was dumbfounded to find two unfamiliar and striking women in his home.

"Who are they?" Rennes inquired skeptically, directed at his wife.

"The one on the left is Baron Kahn's third daughter, Murphy, and the one on the right is Baron Pauly's second daughter, Laila. They will be your wives from now on, Rennes," Janice introduced with an undeniable smile.

"My wives?" Rennes was flabbergasted. He couldn't recall when he had married these two women; in fact, today was the first time he had laid eyes on them. After a moment, Rennes hurriedly sought an explanation from his wife.

In a matter of minutes, Rennes pieced together the situation. Janice had not been jesting when she mentioned helping him find additional wives months ago. Over the past few months, she had been diligently working on this endeavor, ultimately persuading Baron Kahn and Baron Pauly to consent to this arrangement.

"Oh, and Rennes, don't forget to allocate a fair share of the beer to these two families," Janice added, making it clear that this was a condition for their daughters' marriages. Seeing his wife's meticulous planning, Rennes had no choice but to acquiesce.

In light of Janice's current inability to bear children, he genuinely required a new avenue for sowing seeds to reap the system rewards. Moreover, the wives Janice had chosen for him were not only attractive but also diverse in their charm—Murphy exuded sweetness and purity, while Laila radiated allure and conquest.

Since these marriages were meant for the role of mistresses, there was no need for extravagant wedding ceremonies. That evening, Rennes embarked on his "human creation" project with his newfound wives.

Several months passed, and with Rennes' diligence, both Murphy and Laila became pregnant. The prospect of receiving double the rewards next year filled Rennes with happiness. Lounging and growing stronger was a blissful existence.

Children were indeed the primary productive force. His first child was now six years old, and time seemed to fly by. Rennes couldn't help but ponder the future, knowing that he couldn't let the system rewards slip through his fingers.

As a father, he also harbored dreams of seeing his son ascend to greatness. His eldest son, Anleigh Pendragon, had average potential and low Warrior potential. To pave the way for him in cultivation, Rennes knew he had to start laying the foundation from a young age.

A paternal smile graced Rennes' face as he observed Anleigh playing with his younger siblings in the garden. Little did he know that Anleigh's carefree childhood was drawing to a close.

...

In the blink of an eye, another month passed. On this particular day, Rennes was supervising Anleigh's physical exercises when Baron Igor, the patriarch of the Yake family, paid an unexpected visit. Rennes reluctantly set aside his tasks to greet him.

In the living room, Rennes got straight to the point. "Baron Igor, if you've come to discuss my involvement in the border war, there's no need to elaborate further. I've already made my stance clear—I won't participate."

"It's not about that; I'm here to request a favor," Baron Igor explained.

"What kind of favor?" Rennes inquired, puzzled.

"I hope you, Rennes, will marry my eldest daughter, Jessica."
