"Hey, boys what's that over there?" A man asked staring at a lake. He was out camping with a group of his friends when they decided to stop by a lake to take a swim when he saw something moving in the lake.

"Caleb there's nothing in the water, I've been here countless times. if you're scared just say so" His friend Rob taunted.

"Yeah man, don't be a wuss" John added and joined Rob who was already swimming.

"guys I swear I saw something, it was some sort of rainbow-colored creature," Caleb said seriously but to no avail, the boys were already messing around in the water.

"Sure man, but I'm pretty sure your rainbow-colored creature was swimming right up here," Rob said gesturing to his head before swimming farther down the lake.

"Man are you certain something was in the water," John asked Caleb worriedly. Caleb didn't joke around when it came to safety, he valued his life above all else and that applied to the people he cared about.

"Dude I'm not kidding I saw some creature swi- Rob!" Caleb screamed as he saw the fast-moving ripple headed towards john who was floating in the water, but Rob ignored his scream and instead lay floating on top of the water.

John swam towards the lakeshore not bothering to check if there was anything in the water but it was too late something grabbed his leg and he couldn't move anymore, he felt all his energy slowly drain out of him until everything became dark and quiet.

Caleb stood there mortified as he watched his friends quietly sink into the lake and blood float to the top. Fear overtook him and he couldn't move or react, every hair on his body stood and his instincts told him to run, but he couldn't he stood watching the lake, and soon enough a humanoid rainbow-colored sea creature emerged and stared at him smiling.

"i-not-like-noise-i-eat-frend," The creature said

Caleb bolted off, he didn't know where he was going, he just ran and soon enough he arrived at the forest ranger's base. Caleb looked mortified, half-naked, and had injuries all over him. He rushed to the ranger and began the most ludicrous explanation he'd ever made.

"Human-funny," The creature said as it watched Caleb zoom off and went back underwater.

"Alexa! Wake up" Morpheus said slowly and Alexa opened her eyes and sat up. she was on top of the school building.

"Do you like being unconscious or you're still confused?" Morpheus said agitatedly.

"It's peaceful there" Alexa replied him smiling. She knew when she'd returned to her body but she didn't want to wake up. The void space felt tranquil and she enjoyed the feeling, she stayed there roaming around until she heard Morpheus' voice.

"Humans are as weird as ever, anyways I got work for you but before that, I need to show you how to use your ring. Like I told you before you came back the ring shows you your stats, but that's not all it does" Morpheus began explaining.

"When you activate it you'll be able to call out your weapon and yes before you ask it's not magic it's just advanced tech, you also get to pick which one you want, all the knowledge you need on using the weapon, it also has a minimap and radar that detects the creatures I told you about. You get to pick how the ring tells you when it's discovered a creature" Morpheus said

"Cool cool… but aren't you forgetting clothing and shelter, I need money to survive and I have none of that, it's not like my parents would remember who I am," Alexa said sighing when she remembered her parents.

'Did those bastards even bother to bury me, I'll have to check later' She said under her breath.

Her parents were separated and strongly despised her, her dad had tried to rape her multiple times when she was younger but when she finally told her mom the reaction wasn't what she expected, her mom blamed her for the entire indecent and got her dad arrested then moved with her to Oakville where she lived till date.

She was abused mentally and physically even more from that point on. She'd sometimes missed the days when it wasn't as bad and all she had to deal with was sleeping under her bed, constant but bearable beatings, and casual insults. Beauty and her intelligence were the only things she had but she still hated them for bringing more problems into her life.

"You sure had it rough when you were alive," Morpheus said, as he read her thoughts.

"You don't say" Alexa replied sarcastically.

"Anyways you have all the clothes you'll ever need is stored in your ring, which is another function of the ring, but it has a storage limit of three hundred items and finally the most obvious feature, you can use it to contact me directly. I hope you understand?" Morpheus asked calmly

"Yeah I do, now you said you got work for me what's that?" Alexa replied as she undressed and picked out sweatpants and a matching long-sleeved crop top to match.

"You're not bothered by my presence? I believe I'm to be perceived as a male aren't i" Morpheus asked confused.

"Not necessarily you're just bits of fancy code, you aren't male ad even if you were it's not like you'd make any suspicious advances, wasn't I naked all the time I was with you at the border?" Alexa replied packing her hair.

"True, you make a fair point. Now back to business, there's a bug in this area, five of them actually, and I want you to deal with them. Please set up your ring and everything necessary and head out, you happen to be a very special existence Alexa, but that's a story for a later time, I've got work to do bye" Morpheus said hastily and left.

"AI's as weird as ever," Alexa said mimicking Morpheus.

"Time to set you up then Alexa," said looking at the ring, and it immediately projected a holographic screen.

"What in the- didn't Morpheus say I would have only five lives and one ability or is this…" Alexa finally figured out why Morpheus made that remark, he'd probably checked the ring and discovered something was wrong.

"Bugged reincarnation and bugged abilities, I'm OP. Yes, I would like to select a weapon" Alexa smiled and finally replied.

"I pick the morphing gun" Alexa replied smiling, it was like dream come true.

"Shock me lightly or become hot instantaneously, depending on the situation" Alexa replied.

All the information on her abilities and using the gun suddenly flowed into her and she assimilated them instantaneously. A black bracelet suddenly also appeared on her hand, it was the morphing gun. Alexa smiled happily as she sat on the rooftop analyzing her current situation and the massive turnaround her life had taken.

"Now I'm a living anime character, let's go test out this bad boy," She said as she got up and looked at the map she'd opened up using the ring. It pointed out the location of all the creatures around her and gave detailed descriptions of their abilities and toughness.

Alexa picked the easiest one and got up to head there immediately, she jumped off the edge of the roof and ran to the location in the air of course using her camouflage ability to cloak herself.
