Andy was shocked for a second and thought he was just seeing things.

He quickly put the strange message at the back of his mind.

It was because he had more important things to do like Steven.

He saw what happened to him, but everything went so fast that he went back up the stairs to make sure.

When he got there, he saw the grizzly remains of Steven.

Steven's head was gone, smashed to oblivion. What only remained was that bits and pieces on the wall.

This was the first time Andy had seen the dead body of someone he knew, and it hit him hard.

The scene was so gruesome it caused his knees buckle making him fall over and barf.

Andys head was running a million miles a minute.

How it could have been him.

It would have been him if Steven hadn't had tripped allowing Andy to pass him.

It should have been him.

Steven didn't deserve that.

No one did.

He was distraught but he couldn't do anything about it.

Andy was emotionally and physically a wreck and decided to go back to his dorm to get everything under control.

........

Once in the dorm, Andy was finally able to catch his breath and emotionally calm down.

After he was finally back to his old self, he saw the message again.

(If he wasn't thinking about it, it went away and only came back when you thought about it or you still haven't looked at it.)

It once again said {Congratulation for unlocking the System}

He was confused but tried to figure out what it was.

When he focused on it, more messages like the first started showing up.

{You have unlocked the randomly selected job "Bug Tamer"}

There was a lot of information thrown at Andy at one time

It took him a minute to put things together.

The system was very similar to the things in the books.

It should be impossible, but nothing is impossible now.

"If this is like the books then I should have some sort of menu." Andy said out loud.

Right when Andy said 'Menu' a screen showed up.

Andy was shocked but not surprised.

He had so many questions but didn't know how to get the answer.

He looked through the list and saw his stats and frankly seemed a little hurt.

All of his physical stats were in the single digits.

But even with the low physical stats there was mana which means that there is magic in this new world.

This idea of magic brought hope and happiness to his eyes because he had always loved fantasy books with magic in them and always dreamt of being a wizard.

He could see himself shooting spell after spell causing destruction in his wake.

"Pfftt!!!" Andy laughed

"Like that would ever happen."

Andy wasn't a hero he wouldn't risk everything to save lives.

All he cared about was keeping himself safe.

After his short-lived fantasy Andy refocused on the menu.

First, he saw the job.

{Job - Bug Master}

{Bug Master is the upgraded version of Bug Tamer.}

{This job gives you increased affinity with all bugs. Allowing you to use them to your will.

Also, in the future you will be able to get certain abilities from various bugs.}

Andy read the description of the job and had mixed feelings.

"Bugs. Why bugs?"

Andy has always hated bugs. They creeped him out.

The feeling of them, the way they looked, and just basically anything about them.

He was really unwilling to use the bugs, but it was the cards he was dealt. He would use them even if he didn't like it or not.

This was the only way he could survive.

Even though he didn't want to admit it there were advantages to bugs. It could be very powerful if giving the chance.

Also, will getting the abilities of the bugs turn him into half-human half-bug hybrid.

This gave Andy some thoughts but continued reading the menu.

Secondly, he looked at his level.

{Level - 5}

{To level up you need to get the required amount of experience points (Exp)}

{Each level up you are giving two stat points}

The leveling system was pretty easy to understand.

Get points and upgrade.

Thirdly, Skills.

{Skills - Call of the insects - level 0 (Skill proficiency - 0%)}

{Skills are special powers giving to the user when leveling up.

Skills are giving every five levels until level 25. Then it will be every ten levels.}

{Call of the insects - level 0 (Skill proficiency - 0%)}

{Cost - 30 mp}

{Cooldown - 10 seconds}

{User can only summon 10 bugs in a 5 meters radius (16.4041995 feet) until you level up your skill.}

{Skill proficiency is how much farther you have till next level up}

Andy was surprised by the skill. He thought that could have uses with it, but 10 bugs didn't seem like a lot.

He also didn't know how big/small or what type of bugs would be summoned.

He needed to experiment with it.

And finally, Stat points and Attributes

{Stat Points - 10}

{Stat Points are points that could be slotted to the different attributes (Strength, Agility, Endurance, Health, Mana)}

{Strength - The amount of power you can put in something}

{Agility - Speed and reflexes}

{Endurance - Stamina and rate of recovery}

{Health - How much punishment you can receive before dying (number is multiplied by two)}

{Mana - Number of times you can use your power (number is multiplied by five)}

Andy had read all of the information and had a basic idea about how it worked.

Know all he had to do is test it out.
