Chapter 2

Upon hearing the man's voice the boy then runs quick to the man's caravan with an exited expression written on his face while waving his small hands so that the man can notice him. The man then look at the boy with his old eyes and the boy just opened his mouth and ask a question to the old man "sir how much for your colorful books. The old man seems hesitant at first and reply to the young boy "boy my books are expensive for they came from other nation and the information they bring are limitless" the old man didn't answer the young boys question for he didn't want to hurt the boys feeling by saying that the book are one gold each and the cheapest one is one silver. But the boy frowned and ask the old man a question again "so the books are expensive eyy. So I can't buy book with my 98bronze coin" the old man then feel sorry for the boy that's why he ask "why does you want to buy some books?" the old boy then replied with a smile in his eyes "because my father said to me that I should buy one" and the old man laugh and said "so your buying books so that you can fulfill your fathers request?" The boy quickly reply "yes that's right sir I'm buying books so that I can make my father happy" the old man then grabs the cheapest book that he have. He grabs a book that doesn't have a cover and you can tell that it was badly damage by looking at it but in the boys eyes it was so beautiful and perfect in other words he love it. The old man then stare at the boy and ask "do you know how to read?" the boy was speechless at this point for he know to himself that he doesn't know how to read but he really wants to own a book so he said "yes I know how" the old man then open the first page of the torn small hand size book and said "try to read this for this old man has a bad eye on reading" the old man then hand the damage book to the boy. The boy hold the book with his small both hands here he sees a brownish color of the page in the book and the letter that have a color black inks. He tried to read the first word in the book but he was so blank that words wont came out on his mouth. The boy grabs tightly the book and said to the old man with a fear in his word "to be honest sir I can't really read" the old man then said to him with a calm expression "I know that you can't read but boy you don't need to lie about it" he then smile. The boy then bows his head and returns the book to the old man with a sad expression written in his face. the old man then return the book on where it was place and said to the boy "boy try to learn how to read then I will let you buy that book that you just hold a minute ago" the boy was sad and slowly raise his head "but sir how can I learn to read if no one will teach me" the old man then reply "find opportunity boy I know that you can find one and if you know how to read just try to find this old man so that you can buy some books". At this point the boy was so excited and very eager to learn how to read so he say farewell to the old man and run but before the boy can run far enough the old man shouted and said "boy I forgot to tell you my name is Wendolf!! Remember that boy" the boy didn't really hear what the old man said but he was happy and smile are written on his face. The boy continues to run on the way of the farm for he need to help his father in the farm before noon. Upon running the boy again see again the old man that was begging for food and he also saw lot of people that have swords in their back negotiating some goods in the market after he pass through the market he stop and try to catch his breath. There the boy saw a stick to fulfill the boys curiosity he grabs the stick and swing it like a sword and he continue running while holding the stick on his right hand. After running the boy saw a small farm there he saw grains and corn while his father was using a hoe a smash it on the brown ground so that it can fertile the soil. The boy then shouted "father father" while waving his hand his father then notice that someone is calling him so he turn his head and look to the direction where it came from. There he saw his son running while waving his left hand while his other hand is holding a stick. After some minute his son come near him and try to copy what's his doing by using a stick. He said to his son "Alron your becoming strong every day look at you. You smash the soil using your wooden stick" the boy then looks his father with a proud expression and continues to smash his stick to the soil. The sun is tired and it was falling as sleep the surroundings where becoming dark on the farm there's a lot of people falling a line to get their pay of two silver for it was payment time. In the line there was a young boy that have a dark color hair and wear a peasant cloth holding the hand of a muscular man that have dark hair.
