Chapter 52

Cayn slowly put her clothes on as she finished, slowly carrying her. "Breakfast in bed or the kitchen?"

She raised her eyes to look at him, "Hmm, depends. Will you be cooking in front of me?"

"Wise choice love."

He took her to their kitchen, slowly putting on his apron as he started preparing the ingredients. He leaned on the counter.

"What would you like to have?"

"Hmm, other than you, something light will do," she said smiling.

"Alright then," he turned around with a warm smile.

"Cayn," she suddenly said.

"Hmm?"

"Is there anything else I should know? About you, and your ranking as an angel?"

His hand holding the knife halted, his back facing her. His head slowly turned. "How did you know?"

"It's obvious. Living for millennia, yet your feelings and heart are still this, broken. I, I don't know."

He chuckled. "My heart, huh? I, am still sealed, love."

"What? What do you mean?"

"More than half of me, is still sealed."

"What, where?" She asked in confusion.

He slowly turned to face her. Walked towards her. He gently sat by her side, asking for her hand.

She confusedly gave it to him, for him to place it in his heart.

"Close your eyes."

She nodded and did as he said, feeling the steady pulses of his heart. Suddenly she started hearing the heart beating. The darkness in her closed eyes deeped. Finding herself in front of a huge door. Huge patterns and drawings were on it, but she was sure it was handwriting. But everything seemed blurry, the more she tried to decipher the more her head hurt her. The sounds of his heart slowly calmed her down. And slowly the door opened. The wind roared, while the heavy sound of the doors shook her ears. She raised her eyes after a few. Suddenly found herself in what looked like ruins. But she wasn't minding her entourage. Rather, on the man that was, hunged with chains in front of her, holding him by the hands from his wrists with giant pillars. The man she saw behind Cayn. No, Cayn. His black gorgeous wings were closed behind him. Their feathers seemed so soft. His silky hair fell on his face, on his dark blindfolds. His pink lips, his jawline. It was Cayn. But something was different, there was no scar on his body, nothing but his perfect lightened skin. If Diana didn't know. If she didn't know. She would have knelt. She would have put her head on the ground. Staring at this magnificent being. Diana's mind, went blank, at this heavenly view.

Back to the kitchen, she found herself. Her delicate hand was still on his heart. She was still spaced out, and it took her a moment to come back to her senses.

She finally raised her head, looking deeply into his calm and bright eyes.

"Why, do you hide, your beautiful eyes?"

Cayn didn't answer hurriedly. "They are powerful."

Diana understood he still didn't want to answer why he was still hiding them. "What, color, are they?"

"You will know," he said with a coarse voice before standing up to cook again.

Diana hesitated, but she asked, "Why, are you sealing, half of yourself?"

Cayn paused, holding the knife tightly in his hand. "How did you know I wasn't forced to seal it or someone else did?"

"If it was God you would have told me. And I, don't think someone else can do that, but you, or if the entire angels ganged up on you."

Cayn chuckled and started laughing suddenly, turning around to look at her with a smile. "They wouldn't be able to either way."

She chuckled too.

The house became quiet again.

"Ha," he sighed. "I did that. Because I, still can't control myself. I, ha," he sighed again, pushing back his hair, his eyes trembling. "I lost myself, before even dying in my first world." He raised his hand in front of him as if he held the world. "Right now, I, don't even hold, a quarter of the power I had in my past life. Compared to my peak as a ranked angel, everything you saw in the visions, is just a drop of water, compared to the universe." He started laughing, "Crazy right? I am someone, even those angels, feared. But that power comes with a huge burden, as I still hold my free will, but I am still not able to control it. If it weren't for him..."

Diana listened with a broken heart. "Your, rival?"

He chuckled, holding the pan, resuming his cooking, "I say that but, he always lost when my madness took over."

She smiled, "But you don't take that as a win either."

He smiled warmly, "No I don't."

"And you had to seal yourself when you came to this life."

"It was a piece of advice he gave me. After all, this was the only solution. Otherwise, anything in the least annoying can make me blow up everything, much less having my mother almost rapped, and many more."

Diana's eyes widened. She understood.

Cayn looked at her calmly. "I was ordered to live my second life here. For your so-called primordial god to think he is the one who brought my soul back to life. For me to own him a favor for reviving me. For him to use that favor to ask me to fight the evil being he's fighting. All according to my order. It was living my life. If I came down here directly, I would have killed all of you without blinking." Cayn spoke firmly. "But then living this life I realized, why my power if that of destruction and annihilation. It wasn't related to my free will. Rather it was to my personality and mental issues," he chuckled, "I realize I am a bit crazy."

"Just a bit?! You self-destructed your entire self for years for your people, then even more on the battlefields under God's orders. You never think of yourself, you are always sacrificing your health for others. You're just living day by day waiting for your death, which by the way, you are too comfortable with. I am sure even if a guy would piss on you you wouldn't blink but if someone were to look at your close ones even a bit wrong you would murder the entire realm. Yes true now you say destruction is more compatible with you. Pf." She pouted angrily.

He started laughing, catching his stomach.

She giggled for a moment, then suddenly went deep in thought, "Do you think, you can win against the evil being without unsealing your true self?"

He slowly got back to himself, walking up to her, patting her shoulder. "Unless they summon a creature from another world. I can."

"But since, your order was like that..." She slowly realized.

"Yeah, meaning they already did. Meaning I have to unleash at least my past life's powers."

"But even those," shook Diana, "Made you so insane you killed yourself. No, no,.." She stuttered.

"Shh, sh," he held her face, staring deeply into her eyes, his eyes became cold. "Do you think I won't be able to control it twice?" He spoke with an evil grin.

"Of course, I fucking know that, but yo-y-" She tried to speak but his eyes were still calm and cold, now terrifying.

She sighed, looking away smiling. "You won't lose, I know."

He smiled as she sat down. "Don't worry, I still have to get back to you. And this is all a test for me. For you to know, it isn't this power that made me mad, but rather my stupid view of the world and myself. I wished, to die since I was young."
