34 Haemophobia
Seeing Naruto's mountain of chips the gamblers easily made a place for him to sit and welcomed him in warm spirits. But unlike the gamblers, both Tsunade and Shizune straightened up sensing the vast amount of Chakra being radiated from Naruto.
But since they didn't want to create any scene there, they stayed alert of Naruto and continued to sit in the side. Shizune wanted to leave but Tsunade decided to stay and watch Naruto due to curiosity as it was hard to find someone with such massive Chakra pool.
Though she could only stay inside and watch as she was very close to being broke. It was about time she used Shizune as free labor to treat someone and bring some cash to her pockets.
The Gambling game was called Cho-han which was played using two dice shaken in a bamboo cup by a dealer and people would bet on a high or low number. Depending on situations players could also act as the house and accept the bets of other players.
With Naruto joining the game, the players decided to let the dealer shake the dice few rounds and later the one with the most winnings would act as the dealer.
Naruto had transformed into a middleaged man and before he entered the gambling house he had activated his Eagle Vision to help him cheat. Under the effect of transformation, his golden eyes had turned into ordinary brown color but its perk was there.
It wasn't possible to look through a wall with his vision but the vision was powerful enough to see through thin objects such as the bamboo cup. With his cheat, Naruto played many games winning and losing at a ranbom pace slightly increasing his mountain of chips but not enough to draw the attention of others.
Within a few hours, his chips increased at a steady pace while few of the players stood up to leave as they lost. The game wasn't interesting as Naruto kept his mouth shut occasionally reply to the players but most of the time he put his mind in the game.
Naruto did it intentionally as he wanted to end the game as soon as possible and leave to talk with Tsunade later on. Seeing players had started to leave Naruto increased his pace of winning and soon there were only 3 players left in the game and few bystanders cracking jokes on the side.
The remaining 2 players beside Naruto were left with few chips so they decided to get out of the game trying to find their luck in other rooms. Naruto picked up his chips and went to exchange them into Ryo in the reception hall.
Naruto was able to earn a total of 50,000 Ryo and few extra changes that was worth nothing in front of the fresh paper note that he held in his hands. Naruto left the gambling house in smiles as he noticed Tsunade and Shizune following him in slowly.
Seeing that they had started to follow him Naruto headed towards a restaurant and sat down on an empty table. Shizune and Tsunade entered the restaurant a few minutes later trying to act normal but just as they were going to sit on the table a few steps away from Naruto he called them out.
"Tsunade, Shizune since you've already come why don't we share a table," Naruto said with a smile waving at them. They were surprised at first but decided to accept his invitation after some thought.
"So, why are you looking for us?" Tsunade went straight to business.
"Isn't it the other way around since you've been following me from all the way from Gambling house?" Naruto said looking over the menu.
"Oh please, let's skip the who came for the who game and focus on the real matter. No Shinobi would leak out their Chakra in such a brazen manner. You wanted us to follow you. So who are you and what do you want?" Tsunade replied in a serious manner.
"I need you to treat someone, I'm willing to pay you a considerable sum. As you've seen earlier, I've no lack of money" Naruto said putting his winning in the table.
"I don't treatments anymore but Shizune is my apprentice and is as capable as me. I'm sure she can satisfy your request." Tsunade said looking at the fat pile of cash on the table.
"Don't you think, you've mourned enough Tsunade. I'm pretty sure Dan and Nawaki would be sad to see what has become of you." Naruto said shaking his head.
"Who the hell are you to judge me, prick? You don't know what I've been through. let's go Shizune we're done here." Tsunade reacted hardly on Naruto's comment and stood up to leave. As for how Naruto knew of her story she didn't really care at the moment.
Naruto watched as Tsunade left with Shizune and he followed as well but they didn't stop him. Soon all of them arrived at clearing away from people to have a real talk.
As soon as they arrived at the clearing Naruto moved forward sending his punch towards Tsunade. She easily blocked the punch with her palm but the ground beneath her feet cracked with her shoes digging into the mud.
"I was wondering why my hand was itching since morning now I know why," Tsunade said sending her own punch towards Naruto. Tsunade was more of close combat fighter with excellent taijutsu and her strength was monstrous as well.
Naruto looked at the punch in satisfaction as it held monstrous power but he didn't do anything a let it hit his face. Unlike what Tsunade expected Naruto didn't block her punch and let it hit him but she froze seeing the result as her body started to shake.
Naruto had blocked her fist with his own face and as result blood fell on her hand after she broke Naruto's nose in the process. "Oh, what a mess?" Naruto said wiping the blood from his nose and Kurama had already healed the damage so it was as if nothing had happened to him.
Tsunade, on the other hand, collapsed on her knees looking at her bloody hand. Tsunade had developed a severe case of Haemophobia after her brother died right on her arms. Being afraid of blood was very bad for a doctor and a shinobi as she had basically become disabled according to Shinobi standard.
"Tsunade-sama," Shizune cried out in panic as she didn't expect such result and went forward staying in a defensive position against Naruto. Naruto sent two clone after Shizune and she was easily defeated with Naruto having to do much in the process.
"See this is what I mean. Once a member of legendary Sannin and now nothing but a pathetic piece of flesh and bones." Naruto said as he bent his knees to look at Tsunade who was breathing heavily holding her hands.
"Is that all you have Tsunade. Being afraid of blood despite being a doctor, walking around in gambling house forgetting the dreams of your brother. Do you think you'll be able to face Dan after your death since you've been using her sister as your personal salve? I'll give you a chance to get up and fight or else I'll kill your apprentice" Naruto said bring Shizune to her knees in front of Tsunade and put a Kunai on her throat.
Blood came out of Shizune's neck but it only a light wound. "Tsunade-sama" Shizune called out in tears as Naruto had grabbed her hair pulling her head back to place the kunai on her neck. It was a brutal and cruel scene. Tsunade shook further as she watched blood drip down from Shizune's neck but hearing her voice Tsunade came to her senses.
The horrified eyes were filled with resolve as she removed her chakra seal activating Strength of Hundred seals which increased her chakra by 100 times. Tsunade moved sending a sonic boom behind her feet as she kicked Naruto's clone that held Shizune.
Both of Naruto's clone disappeared along with Shizune as Tsunade looked around in surprise. She found herself drowning in a sea of blood but there wasn't any fear in her eyes. "This is genjutsu," Tsunade said in surprise and quickly undid it finding herself standing alongside Shizune was calling out to her in worry.
There wasn't any wound in Shizune's neck and looking around Tsunade realized she had been in genjutsu ever since Naruto followed her after leaving the restaurant.
"You, I'm going to fucking kill you," Tsunade said seeing Naruto standing a few feet away from her with a smug grin on his face.
"What, it's your fault for falling into such simple genjutsu. But still, do think of what I said earlier. Are you still going continue living like this? What about Shizune? Are you going to keep her as your personal maid or are you going to let her live her life." Naruto said in a stern voice.
If it was Tsunade during her peak then it would be impossible to put her into a genjutsu but with just a sight of blood Tsunade's mind had been sent into chaos and it was easy for Naruto to cast a simple but effective genjutsu on Tsunade.
Tsunade looked towards Shizune in guilt as she looked back at her life. While she had taken Shizune with her to pass on her medical ninjutsu but it didn't change the fact that she had been using Shizune as her slave without giving much thought.
"I don't if you know or not but Hiruzen died. Orochimaru attacked the village and your teacher died protecting it. He made a few mistakes in his life but he was a good man at the end of the day. Don't you think it's pathetic to keep holding on to your past? You're not the only person who lost their all in the war. But people still moved on with their life looking for a better future. Peo...."
"Fine, fine. I'll treat your friend or whatever. I'm aware of my mistakes and thank you for waking me from my miserable life. I don't want to hear what I did wrong and I'm well aware of it." Tsunade cut down Naruto's speech in the middle as she found it hard to hear her wrongdoings. But she didn't mean to ignore what Naruto had said. It was time for her to move on from her past and like Naruto said she wasn't the only one to lose their all.
