Elizabeth felt warm by the little guy's words.

As she reached out and rubbed Egbert's head, she said softly, "I'm back now, you can sleep."

Egbert blinked in her arms and asked, "Mom, can I sleep with you tonight?"

Elizabeth glanced at the big bed and agreed in her heart, but she wanted to tease her son.

"Egbert, you are five years old, and you should sleep by yourself."

Hearing her words, there was disappointment on Egbert's face. Seeing Elizabeth didn't agree, he lowered his head after a while and nodded obediently.

"Okay, I'll sleep by myself."

Originally, Elizabeth wanted to tease him, but seeing his disappointment, Elizabeth felt like she was a villain.

Elizabeth said, "Well, I was joking with you. It's cold tonight, and let's sleep together."

Egbert immediately showed anticipation and joy in his eyes.

"Yeah, you go to bed first, and I will get the quilt."
