8)Who? A letter?!

As he returned to the bar the group of knights were sitting at the bar front, waiting.

"What can i get you?" Salis eyes were frosty and he did not smile. The others at the bar front unconsciously shifted away from the group of men dressed in cloaks and Salis.

The knights all paused for a second before shifting there stances subtly, in a stance that screamed defense they all removed there hoods.

One stepped forward before pulling out a badge and handing it to Salis along with a sealed letter.

"Our master has instructed to hand this to you, you are to report to the location given. This is a order."

With this the men all briskly left there boots clicking on the worn wooded floors not caring for the ruckus's they caused in there wake. After they left Salis came to his scenes realizing that the whole shop was silent. Quickly openings he letter once again ignoring the concerned looks shot his way he began to read the contents.

Salis stilled. "Ha! Damn." He scoffed before swearing out loud. The battle had just become much bigger than he wanted. While he had suspicions he had been ignoring them in the futile hope they were false.

His eyes darkened and his whole body began to exclude a horrible blood lust.

While the 'he' in this world had yet to kill anyone his wasn't unaware of the blood shed that took place in the slums, partly because he was often subjected to it at his house. Most of this blood lust came from his previous life. After all, a world renown business tycoon had done more than one dirty thing. The people nearby the bar shrunk back visibly shaking.

His aura was like one who stood above all and carried great power. Something only great beast at the top of the food chain held. It was something that only those who held great power had.

Suddenly realizing that he had released his blood lust he quickly drew it back before swiftly pocketing the letter and badge.

"Alright! Who wants a FREE drink?"

He called out and immediately people cheered rushing towards the bar, almost forgetting that the one who was paying for there drink was the one who had just released the a terrifying blood lust. Most just reaffirmed there belief of not going against him before indulging in a free drink.

When the night came to a end and all the costumers had disappeared or gone to there rooms did Salis now sink heavily into a bar chair. It let out a squeak in protest but all Salis could think about was the contents of the letter and the carving on the badge. As if he had just reaffirmed the meaning of life, Salis lifted his head up completely disregarding his previous solemn and dispirited air replacing it with one of vigor and power, ready for a challenge. He stood and walked out the door, adrenaline pumping through his veins pushing back any fatigue he had from a night serving drinks.

—Somewhere else—

"Reporting, we have just received a letter from our knights, they have safely dilivered the message and badge." The man speaking paused for a second his eyes shifted towards the figure sitting in the chair finally he voice his concerns,"Are you sure that he will come?"

The figure simply stood up from their seat, the candle light in the room casting deep shadows on the persons face, a bright smile appeared on their face but in the dark it seemed like one from the devil. In a low voice the figure responded,

"He will come. After all if he wants to live safely here he wouldn't dare refuse."

A slim looking person could be seen dashing through the alleyways flickering in and out like a shadow as if it was hiding from the slowly lightning sky. Salis finally stoped, the shadows making it hard for one to depict his expression as he paused by a wooded door. He reached his hand out and softly turned the knob before stepping in a candle lit parlor. The smell of smoke thick in the air. Salis body relaxed slightly when he smelled the smoke, while it was silly he enjoyed the smell as it reminded him of his old friend. One of the only good things that happened to him in his previous world.

A pane of loneliness shot through him, as he recalled his friends devilish handsome face and cold eyes that would warm when they saw him. On nights that they were able to meet up they would meet at eaither Chin-hae's apartment or his. He would smile and light a cigarette inhaling deeply before patting the sofa next to him. Salis, back when he was Chin-hae would then sit beside him glaring at the man while the other smoked. Chin-hae has always complained that it was too suffocating. Then he would, with practiced motions pour a glass of wine or some sort of alcohol for both him and his friend and they would sit and talk deep into the night.

The smell held both bloody and sweet memories for him. A sweet numb was filling his head as he walked silently up the staircase in front of him, his steps silent like a panthers. Down a hallway to a old set of double doors. Without stopping to admire them he immediately entered the room his eyes meeting with the figures before speaking a blunt greeting,

"What business do you have with a escaped slave, crown prince."
