THE KISS

After he left I decided to take a quick bath before going down to join the others for dinner, I wanted to surprise uncle, oh wait my Dad by joining them for dinner.

I was heading down stairs when I heard people talking, am guessing they have started eating. When I got to the dining room I opened the door quietly not to notify anyone about my presence but then I heard her voice. My mom was here, am not ready to see her not to talk of talking to her. They have no idea I was standing behind them, I turned to leave but then I felt someone's glace on me when I turned it was Ken, I turned and left immediately before anyone else sees me.

I guess I will just wait for Lisa well I better get out of this dress. I changed into my night wear, am so hungry I can even hear my stomach rumbling.

I was about going to find some snacks to eat when someone knocked on my door. When I opened the door it was Ken standing with a tray of food in his hand.

"Can I come in?" He asked

"Yeah sure" I said making room for him to pass.

"I brought something for you to eat I know you must be hungry"

"I thought Bella was the one coming?"

"Yeah I pleaded with her to let me do it, I wanted to see you" he said dropping the food on the bed

"Why?" I asked getting curious on why he wants to see me.

"Because I missed you" he said surprising me with his reply. I just stood there staring at him, I opened my mouth to say something but could not find the right word to say.

"Come sit" he said indicating I should come sit beside him. Immediately I was seated he gave me the food.

"Should I feed you, you know the doctor said you should eat lots of fruits" he said smiling.

"No thanks my hands are still functioning" I said avoiding his glance. I was so tensed eating with him sitting so close and staring at me.

"I think am making you uncomfortable, I better go" he said getting up to go.

"No don't, please stay, you are not making me uncomfortable am just tensed" I Said surprising myself and him.

"Are you mad at me?" He asked

"Well, a little for not telling me everything at the hospital" I said pretending to be angry.

"Bella you know it wasn't my position nor Lisa and Mark to tell you what happened" he said

"I know I was just angry and wanted to pass it on somebody, am sorry if I made things hard for you guys" I said removing the food and keeping it on the table.

"Wait you are done" he asked surprised

"Yes I lost my appetite but thanks for the food" I said with a small smile.

"But you barely eat up to five spoon out of it, okay eat your fruits" he said giving me the plate filled with different kinds of fruits.

"So update me because am back, I need you to tell me everything"

"Okay, we were able to make the man that got you injured to talk and he said Mr Michael killed his wife and he wanted to get back at him by during the same to his wife"

"What, but how?" I asked

"According to him he said she went missing and they never find her for up to six months and Mr Michael is not bothered about it, he also said that she used to be Mr Michael's Secretary before she went missing"

"It doesn't make any sense, she must have done something or she find out about something she was not meant to discover" I said in a deep thought

"Yeah he mention that his wife was saying wired things about her boss and she was also acting strange" Ken said.

"Were you guys able to figure another way to get a enough evidence that Mr Michael is into human trafficking or a way to turn both Mr Michael and Mr Stones against each other"

"Well our first plan did not work since you got injured but we got the evidence just that....." he said pausing briefly before he continued.

"Bella Mr Stones is aware that Mr Michael is into human trafficking, actually he is the boss and Mr Michael is more like his servant"

So he was aware after all, this man is definitely a beast but I keep having this feeling that Mr Michael is hiding something from him.

"This is messed up"

"We can't get enough information if we don't have an inside man, someone that will be our eyes and ears" Ken said

"You are right, I think I can do it, you saw how Mr Stones was looking at me at the party maybe he wants me as one of his slaves for his bloody stupid trafficking business" I said as I felt irritated about the idea of going back to were I was 10years ago .

"Bella what are saying?"

"Am saying I can meet him and give the offer of working for him"

"Hell no am not letting you do anything as stupid as that okay, that is putting your life in danger"

"I don't really care as long as I got what I want"

"I care Bella, I can't even imagine him or any other person touching you, that is a bad idea I rather go myself"

"This fight is mine, I rather put myself in danger than the people I care about, I can't risk it for anything" I said trying to make him see my point

"No Bella you are definitely not meeting that man, he is going to kill you if he gets to know who you are or worst"

"Ken listen to me" I said cupping his face on my hands

"I rather die a hero than a coward"

"Bella no, this does not make any sense at all" he said in almost a whisper.

"I love what I have now Ken, I know you will be asking why can't I leave Mr Stones since I now have my parent with me but as much as I want to at least live a normal life with my Dad, Lisa, you and Mark well maybe see if I can forgive my mom but I just can't, that will make me selfish knowing the fact that he will be out there hurting innocents people"

"I will never ask you to drop this mission Bella, but if it means that your life is going to be in danger than I will"

"I can't put any other person I care about in danger, I have lost too many people I care about in the worst ways, I lost grandma and grandpa, then my twin sister whom I don't know if she is alive or dead, I just can't lose any other person" I said looking at him, he was staring at me and then I saw him staring at my lips.
