CHAPTER FIVE

The intensity between Sir Ross and his son grew rapidly as Sir Ross stared at Richard and Richard also did the same with a very insulting attitude attached.

"Leave... Richard, get out!!." Sir Ross yelled as he stared at Richard more dangerously. This seemed to move Richard as he could no longer look the middle aged man in the eye.

"I'm only trying to fit in father, why is that so hard for you to accept. He yelled." " Accept the fact that I am your son, not some sort of trash you send on useless errands.... "He slurred in his speech as his father walked closer to where he stood.

" Do not tempt me Richard, I swear I'll forget that my blood runs carefree in your veins. You have thirty minutes to evacuate this entire building or else you won't speak with this tongue of yours for the rest of your aimless life. "Sir Richard's eyes had all the negative effects, both anger, annoyance and any other word that could be used to describe fury.

After the instructions were passed to Richard he immediately left the building with his head bent low. But the expression on his face wasn't that of remorse, but that of deception and trickery, he smirked all the way as he left the mansion, and like a handsome devil he began plotting a new scheme.

LYDIA'S APARTMENT;

Lydia kept on calling his name but he didn't answer and when she touched his shoulders he immediately broke out of his reverie.He was in deep thoughts or rather in a memory lane.

"Are you okay? Did you fall asleep? Or are you in some sort of dirty imagination." Lydia asked as she slowly left the position she was given earlier which was to sit at his back.

"I'm fine, don't over think it. Besides you aren't that special." His usual thick voice sounded through the living room of the apartment as he spoke. Slowly, he stood up and started making his way to the door.

"NO!! Wait!! You can't leave." Lydia immediately jerked up as she ran to the door and held the handle.

"Why?? Is there any problem?? " He pretended.

"Uhhhm..... I mean it's late and you know... As a CEO.... You might have enemies, so you tend to be a target to many people." Lydia laughed nervously.

" Are begging me to stay with you ?." He teased.

"If you put it that way , No problem!! just stay, I'm scared of staying alone . They might come back." Her facial expressions were that of a frightened person.

Damian agreed to stay with Lydia that night, he really wanted to stay but didn't see it as something a gentleman would do. He was happy be was able to come to her rescue, but for some reason he also felt the problems that were arising. As it seems like the past has finally found its way to the future.

RICHARD'S MANSION;

"Sir Richard are you okay with the way Sir Ross threw you out of the family mansion." A man dressed as a butler asked .

The environment was neither too bright or dark it was just deem. A chair was placed at the center of the room. Everything in the room was made out of black , nothing had bright colors.

Richard sat at the center of the room on the chair, as he placed on leg on the arm of the chair while smoking. It wasn't more of a normal chair it was more like a throne, he sat down majestically with his black tuxedo suit . He was a typical example of handsome devil but not with very highly perfected looks.

He had this mischievous grin on his face "it's normal, I'm just counting his days, he just has 225 days to live, and I'll be the cause of his death."

"He is your father sir, won't you give him that respect instead of planning his downfall." The butler asked with sympathy in his eyes as he spoke with anger.

"The moment I found out of the possibility of all the properties going to Lydia a common orphan, I forgot the fact that his blood runs in my veins . "He seemed to be bittered as his voice and face were both pained.

"Well.... I understand and sympathize with both you and your father. But this tragedy would destroy the entire lineage, why be so cruel just to achieve something that isn't yours. Have you forgotten that you are nothing in the eyes of Sir Ross." The butler said each of his words strongly and bravely, one couldn't actually pin-point if he was scolding Richard or sympathizing with him.

"I will get it, I promise you. How can she take the glory when we both have the same background ."He fired back in a more serious and angry tone.

"I AM THE SON OF SIR ROSS . I AM THE HEIR. I AM EVERYTHING HE NEVER HAD, HE CAN'T POSSIBLY GIVE MY BIRTH RIGHT TO SOME BITCH JUST BECAUSE OF SOME AGE DIFFERENCES." Richard's tome immediately switched to that of a deranged person as he kept on screaming like a crazy man.

Thie butler just smiled and walked out of the scene with his arms behind his back.

"You will always be what your father was. "The butler muttered beneath his breath.

Both Lydia and Richard's background were totally different. Richard was born and brought by Sir Ross and his wife Mrs Meyer, while poor Lydia who was 5 years older than Richard was an orphan.

The story began like this;

Lydia is not necessarily an orphan, she has a father but no mother. She was typically abandoned in the orphanage but not intentionally.

For the past 27 years she has lived a life without knowing her real identity neither did she know her background or her father.

IN A DARK ALLEY;

A woman could be seen running with all her strength with a little baby on her arms wrapped in a heavy blanket. She was dressed in rags rather than proper clothes.

Three hefty men chased her, while she ran with all her might. It was a dark and lonely street, in the middle of the night, the moon was the only source of light but not as bright as it was supposed to be.

"STOP!! STOP!!." The men kept yelling as the ran after her . The more she ran, the more exhausted and weak she became.

She ran and ran untill she came across a dark corner . Her child, strangely was calm and innocent. She had the feminine features that stood out among beauties, she was perfect she had brown eyes and well shaped tiny nose .

The child looked calm and innocent, despite all the ruckus she didn't utter a sound, not even a whimper.

When her mother came across the dark corner she slowly went inside and dropped the child on the on the safest place she could find at that time which was at the farthest end of the corner.

Due to the dark environment the woman was extremely scared not for herself but for the safety of her child. She slowly turned around and went out of the corner and ran further away from where she had kept her child, the men eventually caught up with her but the fate of her and her child remains unknown...........
