Chapter 4: "Destiny brought us together"

When we arrived home, I was curios to know why the car was going our direction, so I stood at the garage while my Dad made sure the car was parked well and in good condition. It was something he does everyday, he doesn't like going through unforeseen circumstances concerning the car.

I could remember vividly about 2 years ago when his car developed a fault on his way to sign a deal with one of his business associates, he couldn't get there on time which gave them an impression that he wasn't serious with the business, and this led to him lossing the deal to some other company which also deal with petroleum who became Dad's sworn enemies till date. Ever since then he had always made sure that incident doesn't repeat itself.

I stood there watching our for the car as it parked at the house opposite ours, which was owned by the Johnson's who had to sell off their apartment as they traveled out of town. Momma had mentioned to me that we were going to have new neighbors but I never knew it would be this soon. I looked closely and saw two kids alighting from the car followed by a blonde, who was probably in her thrities. The kids looked familiar, for a moment, I thought my eyes were playing pranks with me, they were the twins from school. I was about to have a session of thought in my head when dad moved towards me.

" Hey kid, looks like our neighbors had packed in, why don't we go say hello to them".

I looked at him with a pleading look..

" Why don't you go alone Dad?, I am a little but dizzy atm".... He gave me a sneer and said with a commanding tone.

" Don't be rude, it won't take forever, and maybe you need to get acquainted with them, you need friends around you know"..

He didn't wait for a response from me, before leading the way, it wasn't a long work over there as it was just a stone throw away. we got there and Dad hit the door bell and within minutes the door was flunged open by Anothnia...She had changed into a skimpy dress, which made her look matured, she looks so different..., I snapped outta my thoughts before I start having weird thoughts about her... I looked at her face, she looks surprised to see me, but looks at my Day with a questioning eye. I looked at my Dad who kept on smiling

" Hey Anthonia, how are you doing today??, How is your mom and your other half, well...This is my son Tony and we've come to say Hello"...

I couldn't process what was going on, How come Dad knows her???, What the fuck has been going on around me lately..

"Hey Mr Williams...come in" She opened the door wide suggishly and laughed at my Dad's gesture of saying thanking by bowing. i was reluctant to go in, but didn't have a choice as my Dad gave me a deadly look..

" I never knew you had a son, well... Stand over here as I call my mom" she yelled out loud

" Mom!!!!! Mr williams is here to say hello!!!!"

I looked around their house and it was such a sight to behold, so much luxury has been spent in here, although, it was nothing like our house which I sometimes feel was made for Dukes, lieutenants, and governors, it was a perfect setting for that of a King.

A young blonde I saw earlier came downstairs accomplained by "Twinny". She is so beautiful, I dare not ask where Anthonia got her beauty from, she is the exact replica of the woman standing in front of me. She came over and hugged my father who reciprocated.

" We've come to welcome you to the neighborhood, this is my son, I had always told you about". Dad said smiling widely... I have never seen him with such a bright smile...

" Hello there Tony, Your Dad has said a lot of good things about you and I am looking forward to knowing you more, this are my chlidren, Anthony and Anthonia, Such a coincidence rii, I know you would have met in school, I hope you guys get along well" ...She said with a joyful smile. She kinda reminds me of mom, that aura, confidence and dark shadows beneath her eye, I liked her instantly, there is something about her that makes me feel so secure... I really hope to know her better also, but I guess my new revolution wouldn't make it possible. I wanted bro say a lot of sweet words to her but I couldn't bring myself to.

" It was nice meeting you" was all I could say

I allowed my Dad do the talking while I wallowed in my sorrow... I just realized how much I miss my Mom...I want her back.. I didn't hear a word of all they had been discussing... I was lost in thoughts when Tony placed a hand on my shoulder.

" I guess destiny brought us together, our parent both work in the same company, we attend the same school, and we bear same name.. isn't it amazing???"..He said dreamily.

" Destiny might have brought us together, both I am definitely not hanging out with an Asshole" Thonia retort rolling her eyes... I was bothered, I knew I had started off with them on a bad note, I had gat to do what I gat to do, but I don't like getting in her bad books, I really don't know why I care but I part of me wanted to prove her wrong.

"Football at school Monday???" I didn't know when I spat that out..

" Yh sure" He said exictedly.

My Dad interrupted the discussion, if not I would have called it off.

"Since you've gotten yourself a play date, while don't we hurry home while you prepare to beat him up at the game" ...

We bid them goodbye and went home..

on getting home I took some Cereal from the cupboard and went straight to my room where I thought of how to ignore Tony on Monday, I worked more on my lyrics distracting myself from thinking about mom...

I didn't talk to Dad untill Dinner when he came to knock on my door to come downstairs to feed my worms with what he had prepared.

We ate in total silence again.
