She applied lip-gloss on small pink lips and smacked them. She took a good look at herself and smiled.

I'm so beautiful

She thought.

Exams were over and she was beyond relived. She would be going home the day after the party. But the only thing on her mind was to get drunk and high until she could barely remember her name. There was a party happening at night club and she was definitely going. Gabriel was picking her up as usual. She had a bum length braids. She had laid her edges and her outfit was on point. She had on a draped collar backless dress and a tie leg stiletto heeled sandals. A text came in from Gabriel and she picked up her bag and walked out of her room. Juliet had gone over to her boyfriend's house so she locked the door and left with the key.

The night club was already packed by the time they got to the there. Gabriel ordered her drink, she'd let only him touch her drink at this type of events. Even though she had never let herself be with someone other than Gabriel, she did let herself do other things with them, just as long as they didn't get naked. At the moment, she was dancing with a person who had managed to catch her fancy. Gabriel had a flock of women around him. They were dancing and shaking their bums at him. He loved it! He kept throwing money at them and slapping their bums. As the night went on she kept taking more shots of vodka even though her body protested.

She had gotten very drunk and was seriously locking lips with a person she did not know nor did she care. She just wanted to have fun.

"Hey, let's go" Gabriel went to get her when things began to get heated. "No! I don't want to" the words rolled off her tongue, sloppily. " Baba, leave am na" the stranger said. Gabriel ignored him and pulled his best friend away.

"We're going home" he said to her and frowned.

"NO! I don't want to go, please I don't want to go home" she pleaded.

Gabriel took a deep breath. He scooped her from the ground and carried her bridal style to his car. She suddenly began to cry and Gabriel became worried.

"What's wrong baby girl?" he said lovingly.

"I didn't get laid!!" she cried and he threw his head back in laughter. His shoulders shook as he laughed loudly. "Where did I find you?" He asked himself. They made it to his apartment safely and he put her to bed.

She woke up the next morning with a throbbing headache. She spent her morning at his apartment and went back to school in the afternoon. She packed up her things and by night time, she was home.

Mother wasn't home when she arrived, she was still in her office. She took that opportunity to get into the kitchen and make something mother would eat. She rarely entered the kitchen to do any actual cooking. She really hated it. But whenever she cooked anything, it was always good. Her mother was a great cook and she liked to believe that she got that from her mother. The chef helped her prep the ingredients for the chicken and veggies stir fry she made for herself and mother. Mother returned tired and hungry. The meal was presented to her and she smiled at her daughter.

"That's my girl" she chuckled. "This looks really nice, thank you" she said. Mom took her first bite and nodded in approval. She left the room feeling accomplished and satisfied. It was the best feeling in the whole world, nothing could top it! She instantly called Gabriel to tell him what had happened. She slept with a smile her face that night.

The next day, she had a photoshoot and would be busy all day.Her mother offered to drop her off at set, she obviously couldn't reject such an offer. "Have a nice day" Mother said as she drove away. While she was getting her makeup done, Gabriel called.

"My love" he called. "Yes, child" she chuckled.

"When are you going to done with the photoshoot, I'm bored" he asked, lazily.

"By like 3pm, I think" she said and he sighed. "You can come over to my ends if you want" she offered.

"And do what?" he sounded confused.

"And lie to the girls here and deceive them with your money" she said playfully but Gabriel seemed to love the idea. "Guy, I'm coming right now, send me your location" he hung up immediately. In ten minutes, Gabriel appeared in his full glory.

The photographer saw him and asked him if he was interested and Gabriel turned him down. "You know that you'd be really good at this right?" she said to her best friend and he nodded. "I know but I don't think I want to do it, no thanks"

By the time she was done for the day, Gabriel had successful lied to a few naïve girls in that room. Seeing how tired she was, he took her out to get something to eat before dropping her at home.

The next morning when she had gone to grab her food from the kitchen while trying to balance the plate and her phone, the plate fell to the floor. Shattered against the tiles like her head would be when her mother finds out about it.

"What was that noise?" her mother roared. She felt her bladder get full immediately and she could've sworn she peed on herself a little.

"I said, what was that noise?!" her mother asked again when she got no reply. All the staffs had cowered away, leaving her to face the heat.

"Uh, I b-broke one of the plates" she said, already crying. The possibilities of what would befall her played in her head and she couldn't control her tears.

"You broke my plate?" her mother said calmly and she nodded.

"I'm sorry mummy, I didn't mean to break the plate"

Her mother nodded and went back to her room, without a word.
