Chapter 24

I knew the metal in the shackles prevented him from shifting but from the looks of him his wolf was barely contained.

"Darian..it-its me Ellie" I said taking a step forward. He growled but I didn't let it scare me.

"Baby you need to calm down it just me" I whispered my voice trembling slightly.

Before I could see it coming he jerked forward and back handed me across the face sending me to the floor.

I cried out and quickly rolled away just as his claws ripped into my arm.

Gritting my teeth I placed a hand over my arm as blood seeped through my fingers.

I stared at Darian , tears filled my eyes. I couldn't believe he'd actually hit me.

Simon ran in a swore. Gently he wrapped his arms around me and helped me up guiding me out the room.

"Th-That's not him. He would never.."

"Shh I know I know" Simon soothed.
