He accepted all legal jobs he could get to make ends meet. Including a contractual relationship with an alpha who’s suffering from a pheromone disability. He gets paid – enough to free him from all of his debts. All he has to do is help the alpha stabilize his pheromone…not until that night happens… The contract was breached. Knox has to pay the price. Afraid of his circumstances, he ran away. Years later, Knox became a capable man. He has a nice job and a kind boss. Chapter 23: Meeting between two alphas [2]

After Kayden sent away his cousin and Knox, several minutes later, someone appeared before him without an appointment. He was a bit surprised, but he knew that time would come soon. Athan walked into his office without a word, closing the door behind him. Kayden raised his eyebrow, knowing exactly why Athan was there.

"I think we should go somewhere to talk privately." Kayden's assistant nurse was just behind the partition after all.

"Indeed," Athan agreed.

Kayden informed his assistant that he'd be stepping out for a few minutes.

The two men walked out of the office silently. Kayden led the way to a quiet balcony, away from the rush of patients and staff. They stood opposite each other, quietly observing the people from below.

"Seems like you already know the reason why I came," Athan broke the silence. His voice was polite but indifferent.
