Knox woke up from a tight embrace and a warm feeling hitting his face. His long straight eyelashes fluttered as he slowly opened his eyes. He groaned after getting blinded by the sunlight cast upon his face.
The door to the balcony was closed, but the curtains weren't fully laid, so the morning sun shone at them freely, waking him up. He pulled his arm up and covered his eyes with his elbow, then he turned to his side where Azrael's sleeping handsome face was displayed inches away from him.
He frowned. Staring at the alpha's peaceful countenance, Knox wondered that the world would have been a better place for him and Azrael's acquaintances if only his eyebrows won't met and his sharp eyes had stopped throwing daggers every time he was upset.
"You look innocent like a cherub if you're asleep," Knox whispered.
