Chapter 11: Arrangement

Green, who has lived in the imperial capital for a long time, quickly recovers from his surprise and asks Zhao Hai if he can use magic. Zhao Hai explains that he is unable to use magic due to drinking the Water of Nothingness, which grants abilities but not aggressiveness.

Green, slightly disappointed, shifts his attention to the table and notices the radish. He examines it carefully, smells it, and takes a bite. He confirms that it is Magic Radish, a common type of magic vegetable. Green explains that on Ark Continent, vegetables are divided into two types: ordinary vegetables for commoners and slaves, and magic vegetables for nobles. Magic vegetables contain magic energy and require special care and good land to grow. Magic Radish is one such magic vegetable and is quite common. Green looked at Zhao Hai's expression and became worried. He didn't understand what had come over Zhao Hai and thought that he might have gone crazy. Quickly, Green said, "Young Master, Young Master, what's the matter? Please don't scare this old servant."

Zhao Hai snapped out of his excitement and chuckled as he looked at Green. "Grandpa Green, no need to be afraid. I'm just very happy. By the way, Grandpa Green, I have a question for you. Is it easy to buy Magic Radishes?"

Seeing that Zhao Hai seemed to have calmed down, Green felt relieved and nodded in response. "Yes, they are easy to buy. Green stammered, "Young Master, is what you're saying true? Do you really have so many Magic Radishes? Where did you get them from?"

Green calmed down. Although he didn't know where Zhao Hai obtained the radishes, he believed it had something to do with the ability Zhao Hai possessed. So he immediately said, "Young Master, rest assured. I can handle that. I'll make the arrangements right away."

Zhao Hai nodded and stopped Green as he was about to leave. "Grandpa Green, tell the slaves not to worry about handling these commodities. Instead, have them immediately start cleaning up the mine tunnels. We need to clean them up as quickly as possible to raise a large number of Blue Eye Rabbits. I'll take care of these commodities myself, so you don't need to worry."

Green's eyes lit up with newfound understanding of Zhao Hai's abilities. Although Zhao Hai had mentioned that his ability wasn't aggressive, the fact that he could store so many items and provide such a large quantity of Magic Radishes was truly extraordinary.

Green nodded immediately and said, "Young Master, rest assured. I will make the arrangements. Please take good care of Blockhead and Stonehead while I'm away. I'll be gone for a few days. Merine and Meg nodded in unison, understanding the importance of the task. They assured Green that they would take care of everything while he was away.

In that moment, Green finally displayed the skills and dignity of a General Manager in a noble family. He quickly made several important arrangements. First and foremost was ensuring Zhao Hai's security, followed by the key tasks at hand. And thirdly, he took charge of the matter of purchasing the radishes from outside. His intentions were clear, and he was determined to handle it.

Merine and the others were left dumbfounded, as they hadn't truly realized that Zhao Hai possessed such a secret ability. But now, with Green's revelation, they quickly snapped out of their stupor and agreed to take care of their respective responsibilities. Green left the room, heading outward with purpose.

Zhao Hai watched Green's departing figure and nodded in approval. It seemed that Green understood the situation well. When Zhao Hai first arrived in Black Wasteland, he had spent money lavishly, possibly as a means to prevent Adam from having any funds to spend and keep him confined to Black Wasteland. However, it seemed that Green was no longer concerned about this.

Merine turned to Zhao Hai and asked, "Young Master, are you hungry? You haven't eaten anything since morning. I'll prepare something for you right away." She headed towards the kitchen.

Zhao Hai quickly replied, "Grandma Merine, it's alright. I ate half of a Magic Radish in the morning and I'm still full. I don't need to eat anything."

Merine shook her head and said, "That won't do. You can't sustain yourself on just that. Please wait a moment, I'll prepare something quickly."

Zhao Hai realized he couldn't dissuade her, so he said, "Grandma Merine, bring some of the Magic Radish from the kitchen and use it to prepare the meal."

Merine nodded and took the half radish into the kitchen. Meanwhile, Meg stood beside Zhao Hai, while Blockhead and Stonehead positioned themselves on either side behind him. Zhao Hai looked at them and couldn't help but smile bitterly. He knew that whatever he said to Blockhead and Stonehead, they wouldn't listen. These two were incredibly stubborn and only followed Green's instructions. So he didn't say anything and instead turned to Meg.

"Meg, could you fetch me some water? I'm feeling a bit thirsty," Zhao Hai said.

Meg nodded in response and walked towards the kitchen. As she passed behind Zhao Hai, she secretly glanced at him before entering the kitchen.

Zhao Hai sat there feeling bored. He realized that he had very few people in the castle he could talk to. Only Green and the others were available, but the slaves couldn't have normal conversations with him. If Zhao Hai tried to chat with them, it would likely just scare them. So he found himself sitting alone, feeling bored and lost in thought.

Fortunately, it wasn't long before Meg returned with a pot of water and poured a cup for Zhao Hai. She then quietly retreated back behind Zhao Hai, not making any noise. This further worsened Zhao Hai's mood, as he felt even more depressed. He didn't know what to say to Meg, especially considering the previous events involving Adam. It made him feel awkward when facing her.

Merine was quick in her preparations, and soon Zhao Hai's breakfast was ready. It resembled a Western-style breakfast, similar to what one would have on Earth. Merine had prepared bread, meat gruel, and several omelettes. The omelettes were made with eggs from a first-level Magic Beast called the Range Chicken, which was found in Ark Continent.

Zhao Hai turned to Merine and the others and said, "Merine Grandma, please join me in eating. Afterward, you all have many tasks to attend to, so there's no need to keep me company."

Merine nodded in agreement. She understood that once they finished eating, they would have many tasks waiting for them. Meseng and Meg also brought their breakfast to the kitchen, while Stonehead and Blockhead enjoyed their meals.

After breakfast, instead of returning to his room, Zhao Hai went to the living room on the first floor and sat there, sipping his inferior (Asia). He knew that once Green had finished making arrangements, he would come to update him. There was no need to worry.
