UNITANDEMITY

An explosion erupted in the ring, turning the undead creatures mobbing me into dust and rocking the very foundations of the whole arena.

The wizard turned back only to get punched across the face and thrown backwards, crashing through the supposedly unbreakable forcefield, and into the crowd.

It got up and grinned, finally, a challenge.

It dashed at me then the gem on my neck darkened in colour and I stretched my arm then its own Soul Seeking chains wound around itself, sucking its soul and giving it to me.

It struggled as I said,"I forgot to mention, I can control the undead now, including yourself."

Then I swiped my arm and the creature roared as it was absorbed by its own chains, into the gem, and all the undead audience turned to dust as its chains unwrapped from the mess on the floor and wrapped around my forearms, turning into ribbon like ropes glowing white, dark and light blue and black with the same blue dust evaporating from them, then I collapsed.

A few days earlier...

I woke up and went to get ready, when I realized I didn't sense any ice on the gem.

I went to a mirror and saw Long's scale was gone.

I yelled and frantically searched for it, even when I couldn't sense it anywhere, till the gem said,"Calm down, I absorbed it."

"What the heck?! Why?!"

"I needed it."

"But you didn't need it before I wore it, did you?!"

"Please, calm down, the dragon is dead, that's why I took its scale, so it gave you power over the undead."

"Couldn't you like swallow a dead pigeon or road kill or something?!"

"It doesn't work that way, the dead must be closely related to you, you are of Thirah's and Nereis' race alike, you need to connect all the Dragon's Drana crystals within me, then you may know the truth."

And that was the last it said to me.

Anneliese ran to me and they left her as she propped me on her laps then apologized for not being able to help me and I said,"Why don't you try giving me a kiss? That usually makes me feel better."

She frowned, lifted me into the air and dropped me on the floor.

While I was still massaging my back, I said,"I knew she still loves me.

We walked through the portal back home and were surprised by what we saw...

Lilith was watching the kids when Titus came and said,"Ms Oppong, there's something I need to tell you."

"What?"She asked.

"There was a reason the people of Khala Wathamba wiped out all the Alphas and left me, without taking any captive."He said.

She was confused as he discussed such a delicate topic since he never even explained the details to Catherine.

She called Apollo to come as well.

"The Alphas..."Titus began,"...thought they were the most powerful of all enlightened people, so they also tried taking over the Ashanti empire, but the kingdom of Khala Wathamba wanted it too, so they proposed making a truce, but they refused and rather demanded the Wathambans surrendered.

A war broke out and the Alphas underestimated the forces of the Wathambans, thinking they were the strongest, they didn't think about the fact that lights were diverse and equally matched in almost all criteria, so they were destroyed, and no one was left so that wouldn't happen again, but they spared me to tell the world of their coming."

Lilith looked at him then asked,"So you think the new Alphas might try to take over again?"

He nodded then Apollo smiled and realized one of the many perks of him staying, then pulled the child closer and said,"You don't have to worry Titus, now, not only is it known that all lights are equal, but there is no desire to use them to dominate the world, they wouldn't harm anyone."

Titus looked at him and asked,"Really?"

Then he looked at Lilith as they both nodded.

It was a greatly believed stereotype and apocryphal that Alphas knew everything,but tht wasn't true even for Braids, they had to learn facts to know them, but even then, an Alpha was a Space Time Contihuman, they had no real body adaptations towards their light, no real sixth senses and no supernatural memory, it was just said to children so they'd stay honest so an Alpha didn't come into their room at night and whip them, yes, I know it's cheesy, but kids believed it.

Apollo and Lilith sensed something strange in the living room and went with Titus to see the triplets stunned...

I looked at Catherine as she said,"Guys, welcome Unicycle."

"What?"Indigo asked.

"My unicorn pet, if uncle Felix could have a monster pet, I figured I could have one too."She said.

"But don't you have Squeakers and the Squeakies?"My mom asked.

"The more the merrier."She said, excitedly.

Curtis looked at Alexa and she knew, it was her turn.

She went to Catherine then said,"Sweetie, you must know tht unicorns, like horses, pegasus and most other fairly common horse type monsters like to live in herds, starting from a mother, then her daughters."

"Then Unicycle will give birth to more."

"Cathy, she needs a male to reproduce."

"No she doesn't, the guy told me when she gets big enough, her horn will fall off and grow into a rainbow maize plant, then a Unicorn cob will grow in it and the seeds will hatch into Canterpillars, which will grow into the unicorns, girls give birth to girls and boys, to boys."Catherine said confidently.

That was the stupidest lie Alexa had heard her daughter fall for and like the others, she was going to deal with the culprit.

"Who told you again?"Alexa asked.

"Old Man Graham."She said.

"Who?"

"He's some old guy who lives in the unicorn forests of Europe, the pretty horsie ones, not the mean goat ones, he found one and brought it for me after I promised you'd give him a light."

Curtis, at this point, had to butt in.

He then asked,"So this, Graham guy, smuggled wild monsters into Africa and gave them to a child, without supervision, because you promised him we'd give him a light?"

She nodded then said,"But since I already knew how to rearrange atoms, I just gave him the light myself."

Curtis slapped his forehead then Alexa said,"Please take us to this guy..."

' ...so I can make him regret ever giving you a donkey with an ice cream cone duct taped to its head. ' She finished in her head.

Catherine was devastated when Old Man Graham had to take the donkey ...horsie....unicky away, and they took his entirely new light away as well.

Catherine didn't eat or talk to any of us for days, apart from Titus, of course.

The only reason she even got the ' Unicorn ' was so it could ride them into the sunset on its rainbow bridge till they encircled the universe and came back home and I started to think that we should actually invest more into Catherine's education.

Catherine didn't want to listen to Alexa as she begged for her to come out of her room for breakfast, till Curtis brought...Unicycle back, you didn't expect him to bring a real Unicorn, invisible to everyone but virgin women and risk it rampaging, did you?

Catherine was so excited and she ran and hugged it as it chewed cud nonchalantly, then Catherine kissed it as its fur turned white, with a cotton candy pink hue to it.

Its mane and tail turned rainbow coloured and its horn was real this time, ivory white and twisted like that of a Narwhal, but not nearly as long or dangerous.

Then she dragged Titus with her to sit on it and he shrugged to us and got on as the Creature started running on its rainbow bridge which only came from Catherine's mythology.
