HALF ASLEEP

People and even monsters were going about creating all sorts of worlds and servants for themselves in the ever expanding eleven dimensional Space, but I wasn't interested in that, I only wanted to know what that dude, whoever he was, was hiding from us.

Curtis was sitting down, trying to find the true identity of that person in several different dimensions but it wasn't working, then he remembered how much this person pretended to care about them, and something Alexa did...

"What is wrong my child?"Asked the voice, taking the shape of Alexa.

Curtis fought back tears and the voice came closer to him then tried to make him feel better, but he wasn't, he wasn't even speaking.

The voice left everything it was doing and payed all its attention to its distressed son then asked the reason for his tears.

Curtis looked at it then asked,"You don't dote me, do you?"

The voice was shocked and said,"Of course I dote you, all of you, why else will I bring you here?"

"But I don't want any of this."He said.

I was confused as Curtis never begged, not even for his life, what was he doing?

The voice sighed then said,"I'm sorry but I cannot take you back."

"That's not what I want, I want you to trust me, trust us, if you really are a loving father wouldn't you at least let us know how you look?"

The voice was silent then asked,"You really want to know how I look, don't you?"

Curtis nodded but before the voice could speak again, he hugged it tightly then said,"This is for showing me."

The voice closed its eyes and I widened my eyes.

Curtis pulled back and was awestruck...

"Alex?"Curtis asked.

The voice... Alex nodded his head then said,"This is me."

Curtis then asked,"Wait, you sent the meteorite? But how?"

"It's... complicated, but I've shown you what you wished to see, I hope you feel better now."Alex said.

Curtis wanted to ask for more answers, but he knew there was a limit so, nodded.

Curtis walked to the rest of us who were just as surprised as he was then said,"It's going to be much more difficult to dislocate his perfect face now he's my wife's best friend."

I was confused, how and why did Alex do all of this?

I knew he was the most powerful human and monster that had ever and possibly that would ever live but time travel?

And he needed his light to do that but before the timeline he had sent the meteorite, he wouldn't have had it so how?

I just had so many questions.

Alek was the most depressed of all the children, he missed our mom, and so did I.

Jessica then said,"You know what I realized a while ago but only decided to bring up now because the situation is finally perfect? We can't feel pain here."

I hadn't realized that.

I pinched myself and as she said, I felt nothing, that was weird.

Anneliese then asked how nobody had even thought of sleeping, eating or doing anything necessary for life and then it hit me.

He said we were in his consciousness, maybe it was just our consciousnesses as well, what if all of this was a dream?

His dream?

What if he brought all of our minds into his own, he definitely had the power to do that and the motive as well, he hated change, especially when related to my family and now Alexa was leaving, that gave him the cause, but would he do this intentionally?

I had to test my theories.

I told everyone telepathically of my deductions and plan and they all agreed, we had to kill each other...

We thought of this as it was Lilith's method of waking people up, and was very effective, the more gruesome the death, the more effective.

But then Anneliese spoke,"But wait, if we are in his mind, wouldn't he just imagine us back if we kill each other?"

"So..."Indigo began.

"We have to kill him."Curtis said with a smirk.

"But how?"Apollo asked.

We all looked at Lilith who asked,"What?"

"What is wrong, my child?"Alex asked.

Lilith looked at him then hesitated, he looked just like Jessie, but she had to be strong.

She took a deep breath then said,"I miss you."

"Of course, I'll stay with you how long you wish..."He began.

"No, I miss you, as in the real you, Alex, Jessie, both of you, and I want to be with you."She said.

"I'm sorry but you can't go back and...wait, how did you know that..."He began.

She then brought out a dagger and tried to stab him in the neck but he dodged, surprised.

He asked what she was doing but she still attacked him, thrusting the knife at him till it hit his eye and broke.

She looked at him, surprised then asked,"How much calcium are you eating?"

"This is my mind Lily, and, why would you try to kill me?"He asked, sad.

"I'm sorry but it's the only way to wake you up, you can't just separate us from our lived ones and expect us to be happy, love is irreplaceable."She said.

He was silent for a few seconds before asking,"You really want to wake up, don't you?"

"We all do."She said.

"No I don't."Some random guy said.

We all glared at him then he looked down, embarrassed then said,"I want to go home to my wife who thinks I'm a disappointment."

Alex smiled then said,"I think I can fix that."

I fell to the floor when my legs started to disappear then I said,"Thanks little bro."

He smiled then said,"Anytime."

I closed my eyes then opened them on the floor, in the shower.

I ran out, naked then dried myself and hydroteleported my clothes to myself then ran out and met Anneliese on the bed, and... everyone in the mansion, apart from those who left.

I checked up on them and they were all waking up from a deep sleep, everything in the whole planet had been in a deep sleep for about twelve hours and I was so glad to wake up and went to Alex to try and make him feel better about... everything.

I knew by now that my little brother was very emotional, and I loved that about him.
