Bright Academy

School for gifted students is an understatement. Bright Academy was a school on an isolated island in the middle of the ocean. Felix Oppong was one of the over thirty students in the forty square kilometer sized college, for good reason...

CALADIUM CORM

After killing the anti colossal wizard and using its gem to repair the world, and closing the portal, we left and I mean left, finally left that multiverse onto my home.

But even then, we weren't going home, we were going to a reality five to the right and when we arrived, we immediately realized we stuck out like ten sore thumbs, but you know who else did?

We tried to let the girl Corma by name, finish with her principal's appointment, before going to speak with her, but something happened.

The principal changed into a large centipede like creature and though Corma was able to escape, the creature jumped down at her.

Alexa stepped in and used an acid venom doused web to stop it and it screeched as Corma looked back then saw us and screamed.

Yokkan gripped her wrist tightly and spoke in a language she had never heard of, so she did the same, scared, as white sparks started erupting from her, then an explosion threw him far off onto a tree.

The instructors were about to attack us when I controlled their minds to get the students out then realized,"Long, black hoods, wands and potions brewing, ravens flying in flocks, this is a frickin wizard school, so awesome!"

Corma then began to run and I realized I should have paid more attention to her.

I slid to her on a sheet of ice and said,"Woah, woah, calm down, we don't want to hurt you."

"Who are you?! What are you and what do you want from me?!"

I immediately brought out my gem then said,"We're friends and we just want to help."

Alexa had wrapped the entire creature in scalding webs as it screeched, then it spoke, in a language we hadn't heard before and vanished and appeared besides Corma and me.

It whipped me off my feet before I could react and wrapped around her as she screamed then said something else and changed into something else, a more familiar wizard...the undead one.

It then spoke, without rest as I felt weighed down by a force I couldn't identify as Corma struggled to break free.

Alexa shot a web at it but it said an incantation and the web tied she herself, then dragged her to it, where it held her neck too.

I yelled as it was taking them away, then slammed my fist on the ground as ice crept forward then pierced it from the back with a long, diagonal rod.

The creature stayed still as Corma said something then appeared on the floor, struggling for breath, then Dollovan froze and cracked its other hand, freeing Alexa.

The ice began spreading all across the creature then enveloped it totally.

I stood up to help them when a fist, made of ice, was thrown at me.

It stopped in midair as Yokkan held it his best, till the ice spread and pierced him through the chest and i yelled his name and for some reason, I lost control as my eyes began to glow.

There was a massive booming sound when I punched the creature across the icy face, shattering it to pieces and spreading the around.

Then, the water in the air began freezing over all the pieces, including over Yokkan, as new ones were formed.

I yelled as a burst of green flames erupted from me...

Corma was crying on the floor as Alexa said,"Corma please, only you can stop it, there has to be some spell you can think of, something that could kill that gem wielding creature."

"I don't know, all I know is the basics of magic, I can't stop something like that."She said between sobs.

"Yes you can..."Emilia said,"...you can and you will, I always knew what you were doing, you weren't memorizing the incantations, you were learning them, so you could actually learn how to speak, the language of our magic, I'll help you."

"Really?"She asked,"After all I said."

"You were right, I was being a spoiled brat, but I only did it to defend you, my best friend."She said,"Now how do you say crystal in that language?"

"Well, I've seen three different ways in different situations, the most remotely similar one to this must be delarken."

"Then add ' of power ' ."She said.

"Delarken magi turan, defroso perisa mi kandella..."

The gem on the creature's chest began cracking then it looked at her but screeched when I crushed through its palms as we were stuck in a palm to palm brawl then I said,"Two on one, you can't win."

The creature threw its head back as it grew to form a blade of ice then tried ramming it into my face but it all shattered, as the gem continued breaking, then the creature screeched as it was sucked into its own power source, which disintegrated into a healing vapour, which repaired and healed everything and everyone that had been harmed by the creature, including Yokkan.

Corma, when she was done, hugged Emilia tightly, then apologized for how she had acted, then thanked us for helping her...we didn't know how to break the news to her.

"Corma..."Alexa said,"Creatures like that one and worse are going to keep coming after you and we may not always be this lucky."

"So, you could stay, we'd love to have you."She suggested.

"Or, you could leave."Alexa said.

"What?"

"The reason we are all grouped is to find each of the thirty-one wielders of dragon crystals like you and keep them safe, to reach our full potential and eventually, take the throne back from the treacherous Darlok."

"S- so you want me to just leave my family and everyone I've ever known and come with you strangers?"She asked.

"We don't expect it to be easy Corma..."Alexa said.

"We expect it to be right..."I said,"Trust her, I know my sister."

Corma was about to speak when her father came on his crotches and she ran to hug him.

He then said,"Oh Corma, my beautiful girl..."

"Dad, please tell these people to leave."

"Why? They saved everyone, didn't they?"

"They want to take me away."

He was silent for a moment then slowly struggled to walk towards us, I couldn't watch it, so I helped him.

"Do you want to hear a story? I know my daughter's name may not exist in any multiverse you may have come from, but it bears significance."

"Wait, you know..."I began.

"When she was born, my wife and I had been involved in a terrible car accident, I thought I'd lose my baby girl, but then, as if by karma, a nurse named Norma, helped us out. She gave us the needed food and medication and knew the only thing that could save Corma's life, was the corm of a caladium, she went from house to house, looking for a family who'd be willing to donate to a nonmagical home with such low class and eventually found one in the forest, why did I tell you this, because sometimes, strangers can be the people who help us the most, Corma, I love you more than anything, but...you have to go with them, and no matter what happens, my love will reach you across the Skyscraper of multiverses."

The tears that had welled up in her eyes, burst out as she hugged him.

I then walked forward and said,"Sir, I may not be able to do it as well as any of my two daughters, whom I also love and miss dearly, but..."

I placed my hands over his deformed leg and it began shaking as it slowly healed.

Corma gasped as the rotting wounds and the broken bones slowly healed.

When I was done, I told him to eat lots of nutritive food, especially protein rich, to replace his lost tissue, then something I didn't expect, happened, Corma hugged me, tightly.

I patted her back, till I remembered my own children, Apollo, Lilith and little Jessica, before I realized, tears escaped my own eyes as she pulled back and said,"I'll come with you, and Emilia, the moment we stop this Dakon person, I will come back to you and let you update me on the latest gossip."

"You got it."She said.

I touched her and felt a slight tingle, somehow like something was greatly holding her back, not holding back from following us, but holding back from her full potential, like she could do more and learn more with her crystal, but this was normal to me by now as I felt that same way for literally all of us, I just wondered what our full potentials were to be, all of ours, then we vanished.
