The absence of a strong central authority allowed these lawless darklings to thrive, posing a greater threat to the already war-torn continent.
But for Iris, it only fueled her resolve to purge the entire world, not only humanity. She could see that darklings weren't too different from the weak mortal humans they preyed upon.
