"Everyone calm down!"

Kane and Megan were busy protecting 40 people while dodging the bullets. There was no security, no choppers for extraction, and no vantage point. They decided to guide the people inside the airport for protection. Everyone previously presents inside the airport had vanished.

Kane approached an SUV parked nearby and started to hack away at the doors. After banging a few times, he managed to break the door free.

"Move back!"

Megan screamed.

A bullet aimed at the fuel tank of the SUV made its mark. Kane was thrown back by the explosion.

Megan took a deep breath in and rushed towards him. She managed to catch him out in the air along with the door and protected both of them while backing away.

Kane regained some composure. They both used the door to protect themselves. After all, the bullets were aimed at them.

They took a different route and decided to make some distance between them and the crowd. Slowly, the crowd started to enter the building while the siblings kept moving.

"Shoot towards the crowd."

The snipers adjusted their scopes towards the crowd. There was no way that the 2 of them could protect the people from that distance.

The bullets stopped. Both of them looked at their watches. Initially, there were around 20 minutes left. Now, there were only 5 minutes left.

"The time isn't up."

Megan looked at Kane. Kane was staring in the direction of the snipers.

Kane clutched the door tightly and pulled it from Megan's arm. Megan was taken aback by his sudden movement. But before she could say anything, Kane jumped towards the crowd with the door in his hand.

"What are you-"

Two bullets. Aimed at the crowd and bound to make their mark. Kane jumped in front of the crowd and used the door to protect the people. He managed to block the bullets in time.

He looked back at the doors. The people had safely entered the place. Only one kid was left, but instead of moving inside, he walked towards Kane.

"Quick, go inside!"

Two more bullets. The door was no longer a viable shield.

"Precise."

The boy took out a knife and stabbed it into his back.

Kane dropped the door to defend himself, but he wouldn't make it in time.

"Not happening."

Before the blade could pierce him, Megan grabbed his hand tightly. The knife dropped.

She dragged the kid, and they both got inside.

Everyone was on the ground, scared out of their wits. Megan chopped the kid on the back of his head, and he fainted.

They both checked their watches. 4 more minutes.

They helped the 40 people get into a bathroom and locked it from the inside after checking for traps. This process took 3 minutes.

Last one minute left. Everyone was on their toes.

And, time up.

Liam and Lucas slowly entered the airport, along with a few more men.

"Congratulations! You both passed."

The chirpier brother of the two was Lucas. He greeted them for their victory.

"What the hell was that?"

"Well..."

Lucas looked towards Liam, who stared at the two of them coldly.

"As we said before, it was a test."

"What test?"

Megan was furious.

"Hey, watch your tone."

Liam said that, and there was pin-drop silence. Megan felt immense intimidation from him.

"We aren't babysitting you for free. First, we wanted to see whether you are good enough to train under us."

Kane wasn't speaking, but his expression said it all. A few seconds later, Megan translated his attention into words.

"Wasn't there a better way?"

"For us, there wasn't. If you have a problem, we will parcel you back to father. What did he say before you left?"

Megan stopped speaking.

"Whatever we ask of you, that is your law. You are here to train under us, and real training happens in these kinds of situations."

The men that they brought with them approached the washroom where the people were. They opened the door, Aimed their machine guns, and began firing.

"Understood?"

The screams of people echoed in the place. This was an international airport, but for now, this was their territory.

"Yes."

Megan answered in a dismissive tone, while Kane just nodded.

"Besides, this was also a mission. The government needed a reason to attack one of the hostile terrorist groups that were growing in power. Now, we have 40 deaths and some fabricated casualties. Enough to give them a reason to take action."

Lucas tried to lighten up the mood.

"What about the guards and the people?"

Kane finally spoke up.

"Decoys. For a time, no news agency was allowed. In about 10 more minutes, this will be an international event."

Liam answered.

------------------------------------

"What is your rank in the family?"

Mei and Alex were sparring inside his cell.

'SPARRING'. Get your mind out of the gutter.

"20th."

Alex could only use Hou Quan, while Mei was using only one hand. She effortlessly evaded his attacks.

"Your guard is down."

Mei turned around and used her leg to hit him in the abdomen. Alex couldn't dodge in time.

"Use your muscles and joints to your advantage."

"Aren't you getting cocky?"

Stone monkey. He took the hit and countered with his own attack.

"Good."

She dodged the attack once again. He was progressing at an insane rate.

He was the initiator again.

"Basic attack."

She was looking to block his attack with her one hand.

Alex smiled.

His punch threw Mei off.

"Lost Monkey."

He announced his technique, and the smile on Mei's face vanished. Turns out, he was actually aiming for her throat.

She used all the strength in her legs to evade, and she succeeded. Immediately after that, Alex lost his balance and fell, taking her with him.

Alex raised his head. His face was close to Mei's face, and she was pink as a peach.

"Are you embarrassed?"

"Get off me."

Mei responded immediately.

Alex smirked. He brought his lips close to her cheek and gave her a light kiss. Then, he got up.

But Mei didn't. Her face had turned crimson, and her eyes were watery.

"Your welcome."

Alex said that and sat beside her.

Mei gathered her focus in approximately 2 minutes. She got up, opened the door to the cell, closed the door, left the cell, and ran out of the underground prison.

Alex rested his head against the wall while smiling.

"Ah, Youth."
