Breaking This New World; Human Rights? What are Those?

"What the fuck are you?"

"My my, how rude. After all the effort I put in to give you a second chance at life this is how you repay me?"

I'm Isuma, your average no life sweaty gamer. Last thing I recall… my house was hit by a meteor.

As if that wasn't bad enough, instead of going to heaven this piece of crap goddess in front of me seems to think that I want a second chance at life. Normally I wouldn't complain, but I've read enough manga to know where this is going… A fantasy world with no plumbing, and no games, where I have to risk my life daily just to avoid starving? HELL NO.

I mean I'll be the first to admit that it's fun to read about but being there myself? I mean just the other day I cut myself while cooking and it hurt like shit, imagine what a fucking wolf bite or stab wound would be like.

"Piece of crap goddess eh? How bold of you. I'll have you know that I am the mighty goddess of quantum tunneling!"

"What the fuck kind of name is that."

"You little-"

"Anyways, what do you want? I don't wanna spend any more time with you then I have to. The smile you made when you thought I was still unconscious was creepy as fuck"

I seemed to have ticked her off a bit, I don't exactly know why though. I mean, if she really is a goddess she should at least be able to fix her smile.

As she answered I could see her struggle to try to keep her face from looking pissed off.

"Ahem- so, rejoice, because a arrogant human like yourself has been chosen to be rebo-"

"Reborn in a world of knights and magic yadda yadda I don't care, just get to the point."

"How do you- Ok if you're that impatient I'll just send you there right now. How about that?"

"Can I refuse?"

The "goddess" made a sneering grin

"Hehe, well I'm afraid you cannot, your previous body has been destroyed after all"

"Let me guess, you got the god of space debris to take me out just so you could say that."

"How do you know debris sama?? Oh er I mean of course not!"

For a goddess, she is really bad at lying.

"I. Am. Not. Lying"

Her tone sent shivers down my spine, threatening, authoritative and powerful. I may have pissed off the wrong being.

These gods… they are definitely not benevolent beings, my gut and the way too many hours I've spent reading isekai tells me so. I doubt their reasons for kidnapping me are too.

The goddess seems to be able to read my thoughts, and who knows what else she can do? Even if they are malicious I doubt I'd be able to do anything about it right now.

"Sigh, ok get on with it then, oh but let me pick some sort of op skill or something first ok?"

It might make this next life boring but I don't care, it's better than getting the shit kicked out of me by some goblins.

She grinned at me, an even more disgusting one than before.

Maybe I should have been less rude

"Well since I am a benevolent being I suppose I'll grant your wish. A legendary skill will be randomly given to you."

From the grin to her passive aggressive tone I knew she didn't mean what she said. I'm probably gonna get a skill like "can only eat monster feces" or something.

A cliche skill window popped up in front of me. I braced for the worst.

Congratulations! You have been blessed with the following skills!

Overlevel (legendary)

The wielder of this skill will no longer be limited by the level cap of their species, in exchange, all xp sources are multiplied by 0.1x

I could feel her grin on my neck

"Excuse me, what is this?"

"Oh my! How unfortunate! It is truly regrettable that you happened to get THAT skill."

"Why is that?"

"Of course it is because it is the worst legendary skill by far!"

So she rigged it to give me this skill then…

"Just so you know, every single hero who has received this skill… died within their first week in their new worlds."

I still don't see how this is THAT bad.

"Listen, humans in your new world have a level limit of 90-100, but can you guess what the average level is for humans? It's 20."

She continues

"People who hunt monsters for their entire life barely reach 40, the best of the best might reach 50 or 60, the highest level human in history reached level 80 after dedicating his entire existence to increasing his lifespan and level. Your average person who isn't constantly slaying beasts will be at level 10-20 for their entire life. Do you understand now?"

I get what she is trying to say. She is saying that with the xp penalty of this skill, there is no chance that I will be able to reach level 100 in my lifetime, let alone level 50. And since the upside of the skill would be useless at levels under 100… it becomes a straight up 0.1x exp multiplier.

But still… I can't help but feel this might just be the single strongest skill there is…

If I can get past level 100, every level I gain after will separate me from the rest… If I can get there.

The goddess finally took off her benevolent facade to see me off.

"Hehehahaha! Wonderful! Truly splendid! You must be stupid even for a human to still have hope! I look forward to watching your progress! Have a shitty new life please!"

What she probably means by "looking forward to watching your progress" is "I look forward to seeing your despair!". She has a seriously evil look when she isn't hiding it so that would be a pretty good guess.

Her corny way of talking is making me die a bit inside too. Truly an evil being.

. . .

Let's see… which cliche spawn point will I get? The author of this novel is definitely lazy, so a unique spawn is surely out of the question. Will it be in a random barn? In a summoning room in the castle palace? Or just a forest?

I open my eyes, or more accurately, they shoot open. Why? Well I'm not about to take my time rolling around in horse shit on the side of a road, no sir.

Hopefully I'll pass a river on my way to civilization, I doubt they'd let me in otherwise.
