2 Chapter 2: A New World

"Jacob? Sara? Harry, Richelle? Where are you guys?"

Danielle looked around in the darkness she was enveloped in.

"You guys?" She kept running and running but there as no light to any exit as it always does in the movies.

Finally she came to a point she found it pointless to walk and crumbled on her knees only then did something magical happen, she look at her silhouette slowly forming on the ground in front of her. Looking over her shoulder she saw the same female-like figure which gave her the adrenaline to scramble on her feet and confronted her angrily.

"Where have you brought me to?"

She still did not spoke a single word.

"Fine be a mute but I demand you take me back to my friends!"

She raised her hand to point up vertically.

Danielle's eyes followed the direction of her hand, looking upwards to what seems to be a hand reaching out to her and there was the bright light to escape she had been searching for. She began reaching out for the hands which she eventually gripped on to and there was a light pull on the other side.

"JACOB!" She gasped for air violently whilst gripping on to the hand tightly refusing to let go.

Have I been underwater all these while? As she pondered over the question, the sound of loud resonating booming and banging from her surroundings told her this was all real, her goosebumps are real, the hand she had been gripping on so hard up till now was real, and it was smaller. A hand of a little boy.

"What on earth!" She scrutinizes her surroundings to find herself in the middle of warfare between two ships. Loud angry scream paired with guns and cannon firing over her head as she and some lost boy stay afloat on a wooden plank in between.

"Hey kiddo, wake up! Wake up! Which side do you belong to?" No matter how hard she shook the boy, he never did open his eyes.

"All I wanted to see was the phenomenon, how did I end up here?"

"Down there! I see them!"

Danielle looked up to the men who pointed at her and instantly knew who was the enemy. Taking a deep breath she pulled the boy down with her underwater where they would seek some cover from the firing of the guns. Although staying underwater isn't exactly save as there might be sharks lurking around she swam as fast as she could to the ship which the boy might have belonged to.

Reaching to the safe side of the ship away from all the firing she was in luck to find a rope dangling off the boat where she managed to yank and test its secureness. This had caught the attention from one of the crew who looked down to them.

"He's unconscious, could you pull us out?" Danielle asked as she had already strapped the rope around herself and the boy.

"Who are you? No outlander allowed on the ship as ordered by the Captain!"

"There's no time to explain just pull us out!"

The crew hesitantly did as told. Before they could climb overboard the crew immediately reached for the boy, forgetting he was strapped to the girl.

"Stop pulling him so that I can release him properly!" Danielle yelled in exasperation.

Freeing the boy, the crew simply took the boy onboard and left Danielle dangling on her own. Having just caught a glimpse of the fighting going on behind, she soon found herself falling backwards before she could climb on. The rope which she was harness too snapped from being severed by one of the other crew fighting behind.

She screamed as she crashes back into the dangerous water. Opening her eyes, she met her greatest nightmare a great white shark was waiting for her.

She swam up to the surface screaming for help but the crew that was previously there was nowhere to be found. She did not stay afloat for long before she was dragged underwater and swimming in a pool of her own blood.

Damon slammed his fist hard on the table in his own quarters. He was distraught to discover Artty was missing from the aftermath of the war. His First Mate stood in front of him reporting Artty disappearance from his quarters when he went to check on him.

"I am terribly sorry Capt, he must have sneaked out when I told him he could not be part of the sol--soldier." The first mate stuttered in fear as his Capt was breaking and kicking everything in his sight.

"Do you have the coordinates of The Saurs?"

"Aye, we do. Their ship has received heavy damaged and they seem to be taking the route towards Sage for supplies."

"I would think so indeed." Damon rest back on his chair.

"Capt, you better come see this." The second mate barged in.

Damon was quickly filled in with his second mate's finding as he follow him up to deck.

"They have Arrty onboard, but there's someone with him."

"Someone, who?" He stopped in his track and look hard back at him.

"I don't know, I have never seen her before."

"Her? She?"

He was quickly handed the glass. They were indeed at the tail of The Saurs. Moving his glass to look who stood on the deck, there was indeed a girl, behind her was his little brother.

"Full force ahead!" Damon yell and all the crews gathered scrambled back to their duties. Damon continue to keep watch of Artty through the glass and was not prepared for what he saw next.

"ARTTY!"
