chapter Twenty-Seven-inigo's revenge intensifies

The sound of slap echoed as Inigo felt the sting from his older brother Diego.

"You went too far this time. How could you do something like that to a girl? I never raised you to hit a woman," Diego reproached.

"Did she tell you I got her?" Inigo retorted.

"No, but enough to tell me you hired some people to do it. You're becoming a person I don't recognize, Inigo. I want my brother back, and you better give him to me, before it's too late, and if anything happens to her, you'll see the other side of me," Diego declared as he walked out, leaving Inigo laughing.

The hatred Inigo felt for Lisa intensified.

"You'll have to pay for the slap my brother gave me. I'll make sure of that," Inigo muttered to himself.

*******************************************************Diego entered Lisa's ward, finding the two sisters together.

"I hope I'm not intruding?" he asked, and Rachael smiled, encouraging him to come inside.

"How are you doing, Lisa?" Diego inquired.

"I'm fine. Thanks for asking," Lisa replied with a smile.

"Are you okay? Do you feel hurt anywhere?" Diego asked again.

"No, I'm fine. Thanks again for your help?" she said smiling.

"It's nothing. We are just thankful we came earlier," Diego remarked, and Rachael nodded in agreement.

"I'll go check with the doctor to know when you should be discharged," Rachael said, standing up as Diego held her hand.

"Don't bother. Let me do that," he insisted, but Rachael easily saw through him.

"Don't bother yourself with such. I can do that, and I need to stretch my legs. I've been seated for too long," she said, as he nodded, letting her go.

"Are you okay?' Lisa asked, looking at him as he nodded. "You know you can sit. I don't bite," Lisa said, and he chuckled.

"Yeah, says the girl who almost removed my hand," Diego teased and Lisa blushed.

"I'm sorry," she said, and he shook his head.

"There's no need. I know you were just out for your sister. I would do the same if I were in her shoes, plus I've been horrible to her," Diego admitted as they fell into a moment of silence.

"Look, I know you don't like me, but Rachael and I have decided to let things go and start a new relationship. So it would be best if we tried to get along. We can be friends," Diego suggested as Lisa nodded.

"Okay. Let's be friends," Lisa said, surprising Diego. "there's no need to be shocked. I was going to accept you sooner or later, and you're nothing like your brother, so we can be good," Lisa added.

" About Inigo, I'll do my best to talk sense into him," Diego promised.

"Don't bother. I'm okay," Lisa said as they smiled at each other. "I like you for my sister. Be good to her, or else you'll get it hot from me," Lisa threatened.

"Yes, ma'am. I hear you loud and clear," they both said, laughing, as Rachael came in.

" So, what are you two discussing about?" Rachael asked.

"It's none of your business," Lisa teased.

"Oh really!" Rachael asked playful as they all laughed. "Nice try," Rachael remarked.

"So what did the doctor say?" Diego asked.

She'll need to be here for three days for proper checkup," Rachael explained.

 "But I'm okay?" Lisa whined.

"I know, but you have to be here for us to be sure," Rachael insisted.

"You don't have to worry. You'll be out of here before you know it," diego assured, and Lisa pouted.
