chapter Thirty-Three-Marry Me Surprise

Rachael's P.O.V

They heard everything I said. I felt like giving Diego the beating of his life as he approached me with a bouquet of flowers.

"You talk too much," he said, and I didn't know when I slapped him.

"I know you're angry with me, but I'm sorry. It was Lisa's idea to make you jealous, make you feel that we betrayed you by having an affair behind your y, and bring you here, leaving you in the dark and a little scared for all this," he explained, offering me the flower.

"Who said I was jealous? I don't care about what you do," I said sniffing the flowers, while he gave me that look that said, "I don't believe you".

Lisa pressed a remote button, and a huge screen appeared with the instruction "WILL YOU MARRY ME RACHAEL VENTASPARO." I looked at him and he was on his knees with a beautiful ring.

"Will you marry me?" he asked. I wanted to laugh and cry at the same time. They really did a number on me. I took some time to pull myself together before saying yes.

He slid the ring onto my fingers, stood up, and kissed me while everyone clapped, and the music started, Lisa opened the dance floor with a dance.

"Congratulations, sis," Lisa said as I hugged her. "Hey, take it easy. It's not like I did you a big favor. It's all yours. I just wanted to help," she added as I smiling uncontrollably.

"Enough of the smiled. Diego is waiting for you," Lisa said as she left me with Diego.

Lisa bumped into Inigo on her way.

"What do we have here?" Inigo asked.

"I didn't know you still existed," Lisa retorted.

"looks like you're really enjoying your time here. That's what poor people always do. They always look for a place to perch," Inigo remarked as Lisa smiled.

"You're so funny, Inigo. If I were you, I would be looking for how to be important because you're no more existing in the lives of so many people. Very soon you'll be gone from this very existence," Lisa said, laughing mockingly as she walk out.

"Rude. I'll have to deal with you once and for all." Inigo muttered, leaving.

Diego introduced Rachael to his father, but Lisa wasn't around.

 "Good evening, sir," Rachael greeted.

"Don't call me sir. Call me father. You're my future daughter in-law. It won't be nice if you call me sir," Simeon said.

 "Yes, father," Rachael replied.

"She's so beautiful, Diego. You've got eyes like your father," Simeon remarked as they all laughed.
