It needed to be more refined to be able to handle all kinds of Spirits, Balancers and even ordinary humans.
Jumping around an environment while avoiding and blocking was far from enough.
She needed to go on the offensive much more and that was not all.
She would spend less time responding to her opponent's movements and more time finding ways to create and exploit openings in her opponent.
Her current style of fighting was mostly suited to defense and counterattacks but it was not all that effective in real fights.
If she had more than one opponent and was unable to wear her opponent down quickly then she would soon get overwhelmed.
If her opponent had a lot more stamina and endurance than her then they could simply just endure it all until her body gave in.
What Ash wanted in her combat style and many other aspects of her life was control.
