The struggle between them paused for a single moment once the fear within the Evil Spirit had begun to take an effect on it.
It started to fear Ash and had more impulses to escape rather than to fight.
The problem was that it was trapped and had nowhere to escape.
The line between it and Ash had remained so it had to finish what had started between them.
It could not get beyond the circle of ash that surrounded it.
There was only one option for it to fight back against her yet it was left internally confused and conflicted.
As if sensing such weakness from it, Ash increased her hold over its inner turmoil and attacked it relentlessly.
That fear grew and grew until it spiraled beyond what it could endure until nothing but terror could be felt from it towards Ash.
The red line between them had paused during that time then it suddenly moved again.
It was like a large push past the initial resistance had begun again.
