Chapter 30 – I’m sorry, I’m not a performing monkey

Battle – Draven Wukong vs Chisaka Katsuro

Upon taking a stance Draven stood there glaring at Chisaka. Chisaka stood opposite facing him on a stance, 'gedan no kamae'. Chisaka loosened his shoulders and brought up his hand holding the sword and pointed it at Draven.

"Be at ease, Draven. I hope we a fruitful duel."

"Pfft… Fruitful? Yeh, damn right."

Chisaka once again took back his stance he was holding.

"At least you could have given that boy an honorable death…..."

"Honorable death?"

"Hai"

"Hehehe…. What's wrong with fleeing when knowing your opponent is stronger than you? It is foolishness to keep battling when you can't defeat the one standing in front of you... it becomes a façade….."

"... a pointless bout of nothing."

Spouting as much Draven showed the difference of the opinion, values and resolve they both hold to themselves. Meaning that in this duel Chisaka is the only one throwing his ideal and resolve and value into the ring whilst Draven hoping to tally it by not throwing his life but his skills into the ring.

"Hmm…. Interesting take on a duel."

Just as principal did in 'Chapter 13 – clear was the sky', Chisaka sent arsenal of weapons directed at Draven. Draven not dodging it, parried it all, the 47 Katanas with his staff changing its trajectory sending some back at Chisaka. Draven keeping a leg back taking a back stance (Kokutsu dachi) pointed his staff at Chisaka. The staff grew in length in seconds and hit right on Chisaka's throat, throwing him off to crash onto the walls. The staff shrunk back to its initial.

Before Chisaka could get up, whilst he was on his knees, Draven swung the staff in a roundhouse manner to land a hit on Chisaka's head. Continuing it Draven spun himself to land a back kick whilst being on midair on Chisaka's chest, who was now on his feet from the suspended effect of staff hitting his head. Chisaka flew away breaking off the walls of dojo into another Dojo with the same structure.

Without giving him a break Draven appeared right in front of Chisaka and swung his staff aiming at his face. But now Chisaka blocked it with a katana he weapon hauled. An enormous force was released from both parring their weapon.

Both began to duel by parring their weapon with each other, whilst Chisaka dueled by using a sophisticated sword art and Draven with mixed martial-arts. Both kept on evading and parring their weapons repetitively not even being able to land a single hit on one another.

Chisaka lunged forward at Draven's neck, Draven went for a roundhouse kick and locked his arm mid move and using the momentum from the roundhouse kick he leapt into air and kicked from his other leg to Chisaka's side head. Chisaka blocked it by grabbing the kick with his other hand. Whilst both being locked on each other's mercy, Draven vanished from the spot he was in.

He appeared from behind and swung his staff at Chisaka's abdomen. He cushioned it with his side stomach sending the force out his body from other side.

"Ehhh…. Looks like you resorted to using your powers."

"Yeahhhh….. It's going nowhere."

"Soredewa shitsureishimasu"

Chisaka appeared from all four sides of Draven multiplying himself, he swung slashing from all sides. Draven dodged it by standing on top of the staff and growing it in height. Standing on top he leapt for a backflip and vanished as he was about to hit the floor. Draven appeared from shadows of the circle of katana formed by Chisakas from below. And swipe kicked with a spin using his staff to make all four of them loose the footwork.

All four stood up and transformed their selves to Draven. All four weapon hauled staffs and dashed toward the original Draven. Draven realized at a glance that these four aren't clones disguised as Draven but clones of his own self conjured by Chisaka.

"Yǒu méiyǒu gǎo cuò…?"

A fearsome battle between Draven's was about to begin….

Battle – Min Jung vs Kai Kitagawa (Lovely's café version veil)

The veil dropped this time was a unique construct of veil. The radius extend to 50kilometers, whilst everything inside the veil except Min and Kai are intangible. They are a true ghost to the outer world.

Min dashed through the tables and chairs in the café and leapt for a slash. Kai fell on the ground through the chair he was sitting on evading the attack accidentally. The shop owner was visibly frightened seeing that two of her customers who was right in front of her eyes vanished into thin air out of blue.

"Hehe…. I dodged it…."

Chuckling, Kai stood up and dusted his trousers.

"You lucky bastard…."

Enraged Min dashed toward Kai from behind. Kai dodge it without much effort by moving to his right and flicked at the back of her head to spite her more. She spun herself back and went for a punch aiming at his face. He crouched to evade the attack and accidently sat on the floor.

"Whoa…. You are too short… I can't even duck to evade your attack."

With the momentum she exerted for the punch she exited the shop whilst tripping on her foot.

"Tch, tch, tch…. Clumsy much, Concubine?"

"I saekkiya!!!"

With rage fuming around her she took a horse stance (Kiba dachi) and brought her two hand close to her chest without both of them touching, she then slowly blew into the gap and clapped her thrice loud as she can. (Similar to what Nagisa did in chapter 4 – rain, rain, go away).

"Kirin!!!!"

As soon as she screamed the name, the ground began to shake. A huge hand or a front limb appeared behind Min and then the next limb, slowly the thing behind her becoming visible. A Huge Dona spanning 30 foot stood behind her. It resembled that of a Chimera.

Min Jung (Guds Vilje)

Gae Dokkaebi

· Can summon extremely powerful Dona from other plain to her command.

Kai stopped the time and walked up to her and punched her in her face without using his sound potential. He played the time back again to see that punch he landed take effect.

"Fufufu….."

"Bonghwang!!"

Laughed Min as she stood up wiping her blood bleeding from her mouth. Soon as she stood up a bird looking Dona flew out of her backbone and flew right through her chest disappearing. The wound inflicted by Kai was healed.

"Hehehe….. It is always a strategy played by weaklings like you…. Kai, was it?"

"The strategy is to use your strongest move against the opponent at first….." Said Min as she stared coldly at Kai.

"Hmmm…. But that wasn't my strongest move though…."

"Whatever you did, but you landed a hit on me through the eyes of 'Kirin'…. Kirin is full now….."

The huge Dona 'Kirin' which stood behind her turned to dust and withered away, taking the ashes along with it.

".... Now your move will be sealed for an entire month….. 29 days."

"Hmmm….. A bluff?"

"Time stop….."

"….."

Upon hearing her word Kai tried to stop the time only to realize that the word spoken out of Min Jung's mouth was true. His move 'Time stop' was sealed. Kai still stared back at her unfazed even though his move was sealed.
