Chapter 26 – And so it begins

June 25th, Meliora hearts high, at 2.13am,

Aiden was in his room playing game, Nagisa was at school dojo training, Leroy and Chel was chatting up on the park bench, Clara was at basketball court, Lunar was reading a book and Professor Draven was holed up in his office doing research about the man.

Huge thuds large enough to attract their attention could be heard from the either of school gates. Everyone went to check on the huge noise. Lunar and Nagisa met on the hallway and went together to the rear south exit of the school. Aiden choose to omit the noise since he was immersed in gaming. Both seniors went around the campus not checking up on the noise but to collect the junior for safety measurement. Professor Draven got the gist of the event.

Lunar and Nagisa reached the exit together to only find thousands of Donas' trying to get in.

"We should warn the others." Said Nagisa in a rushing tone.

They both ran back into the building whilst the seniors met up with them. Clara was already with them when they ran into each.

"Get to the underground." Said Draven appearing out of nowhere besides them.

"What's even going on professor?!" Asked Nagisa as they were running towards the underground.

"That man…. Chisaka Katsuro….."

"…..It's his handiworks, probably."

As they were about to open the door to the underground, the space distorted, the door opened and everything around them was pure white.

"PROFESSOR!! WHATS GOING ON?" Asked agitated Nagisa.

"I don't know."

Every one blasted away from each other. Nagisa and Lunar was blasted away together whilst Leroy, Chel and Clara was together. Professor Draven was left alone in the white void of space hovering endlessly.

"Link your arms together." Said Chel to both Clara and Leroy while reaching her arms out as they were drifting around.

"I just know the thing." Said Clara with a light smile on her face.

Clara's left arm turned black and wrapped around both Chel and Leroy together. All three fell into the ground. They slowly stood up to see they were on the city of Guangzhou, China near Pearl River.

"What the heck?" Said Chel, amazed.

"Draven?"

"No…. I don't think so."

Whilst Lunar and Nagisa fell to the ground likewise but were separated about a kilometer distance. They both landed on Lucerne, Switzerland along the chapel bridge.

"Wait, where are we?"

"Where's Lunar?"

"Oh, Shit am I in Switzerland?"

"Willkommen gnadige frau." Said a voice out of blue.

Without a second thought Nagisa dashed up to him on a second and punched him right on his jaws making him lift off the ground about 5 meters and fly away crashing on to a building. Her speed and strength had considerably increased since her duel with her sister.

"Sterbende woman." Said the man as he stood up wiping his blood spilling from his jaws.

A horde of Dona formed behind him for his support.

Meanwhile at Guangzhou,

All three of them wandered listlessly among the crowd, confused. Whilst they were among the people, two people from the crowd stabbed both Leroy and Chel and disappeared back into the crowd. The wound inflicted on Leroy was right near his spine, the wound made him immobile making him loose his fighting ability in the upcoming battle. Chel was stabbed through the hip and gutted to her abdomen, she became weak but was able to move.

"Fufufu, Guess we won't be much use in this battle." Said Leroy, still maintaining his composure.

"Hahaha, damn right, idiot."

Clara stood there silently with her eyes closed. After couple of seconds with her seniors wondering what she was doing, she slowly opened her eyes.

"There… those two." She pointed to couple of men standing there.

"Hahaha. Looks like she found us."

"Yeah, she did." Said Chel as she took a vial out of her pocket.

She forcibly threw the entire bottle into the ground creating a veil spanning 500 kilometer radius. The people in the dimension outside of the veil passed right through them. It was as if the five of them who were right in front of people's eyes were ghosts.

"Nothing changes for us." Said the two as Donas emerged to aid them.

Back at Hearts grounds,

Aiden walked out of his room after sensing something was off and headed right to the school's playground. As he stepped right into the ground, hordes of Donas, both normal and mutated rushed toward him.

"Ah~ Shit."

Aiden weapon hauled a katana and took a stance ready to slash them.

Aiden slowly took his time into slashing the Donas. He used the traditional kendo mixed with Judo to fight off the Donas. Thousands of Donas, collectively rushed towards Aiden and he began to fight restlessly ignoring his fatigue.

After an hour, Aiden completed cleansed the hoard of Donas appeared at the Meliora. Without giving him a breath another wave of thousand Donas appeared at the campus.

"Ahhhh~!!! Give me a break…."
