Stellar Privacy Shield

Kita was really curious about the origin of the 4 planets and the civilization behind their existence. As one of the people working to elevate the technology level of humanity, Kita knew just how hard a project on such scale was. Although it seems simple enough that humanity should be able to plan it, but execution was a whole another matter. It was wholly beyond the capabilities of humanity and any other race known.

As Kita got back to his lab he got greeted by his co-workers and Lab assistants. They greeted Kita as he walked by and gave brief reports about different agendas. Although it wasn't one of the main labs on the Shore, Lab 13 was still quite big in it's own respect. Although it couldn't match in prestige with Lab Vite, it was still one of the best labs on-board the Shore. The team here were working on figuring out the different parts of the images and data that was gathered from V point.

No matter what kind of anomaly they came across, The V Point was still their main objective and the mission. Even if they took a detour to investigate the 4 Planets, They still had to go on their mission and investigate the super structure around V0.

Kita sat down behind his desk terminal as he pulled up a few data sheets on his terminals. He began to analyze the latest data gathered from Sensor arrays that were pointed towards The V Point. Coming so close to the star system helped tremendously to get more accurate images and data coming off of V Point. Not only were they getting better idea about the super-structure, they were also figuring out more about the star system.

The V point was a really huge star system. From the gathered data, they successfully identified about 29 different planets and many moons. Although the number was sure to be greater than that, But for now, the Planets orbiting the 5 stars were really something to behold.

15 out of the 29 planets were way bigger than Earth and boasted many times the earth's gravity. Not only that, the initial data even showed that some of those planets might be in the Goldilocks zone and capable of hosting life! This was an amazing discovery, cause if they indeed hosted life, then the aliens living on those planets were the creator of the Super-structure. This meant that they were more advance than the human civilization and were master engineers.

Although this increased the risk of the mission quite a bit, but it still wasn't out of the expected risk of the mission.

Although the Shore was a research vessel, it was fully capable of defending itself against any major or minor threats. It's main batteries incorporated all the latest advancement in Battleship Grade armament technology. So no matter whether they came across a hostile race or not, the Shore would hardly be in any danger.

'If only these images were more clear', Kita thought to himself.

"Hey York, Can you clean up the data and images more? It's still too distorted and messy to get an more accurate picture.", Kita asked one of his co-workers.

"I've done all I can, but I'll run it through again. But don't hope for much. The interference from V0 is too much. And it only gets worse as we get more close, It doesn't help that it has another 4 stars orbiting it. Together they're almost like a privacy shield that covers and the whole star system and protects it from any curious eyes. Perfect for making a Military research facility if you ask me.", York said as he sighed.

"That's why it's important that we find out just what is going on in the star system. It'll have major implications."

"Then we better hope that it's nothing that serious."

"What are you talking about?", Kita looked disappointedly at York.

"Someone who's capable of building that big a structure is definitely serious. We should be too."

"Fine fine, Don't get so serious man. I know it's an important mission, but worrying about it every second you're awake is hardly a solution. We'll just face what comes up. If it needs to be handled with fire power, We don't lack the teeth. ", York looked at Kita and gave a bright smile.

York was one of the closest friends of Kita, He was really a carefree and cheerful guy who always tried to cheer up everyone. His only flaw was that he was a bit too carefree, and at times it comes around to bite him, but most of the time he figures things out and it doesn't get too bad.

But York was a really serious data analyst and researcher. He was always serious about work and had a good reputation within the lab and with Dr. Kbom. He was lucky enough to be recruited by Dr. Kbom fairly early in his career and was able to earn enough recognition to be sent on this mission.

"Hey, have you taken a look at the 4 planets? The latest data coming off of them is ridiculous. No matter what anyone says, I doubt even the planets themselves are natural. Either that or they've done heavy terraforming to make them identical. No way they're identical to this degree and still natural.", York said as he leaned back on his chair and looked at Kita who was busy with inspecting the data on his terminal.

"Pfft, Are you suggesting that they created the planets altogether? You do know it's impossible and to create one this big, not to mention that there are 4 of them! It's not possible. Terraforming might be a more viable option", Kita said as he touched his chin.

Although humanity was capable of terraforming specific planets to certain degrees to make it viable for humans to live in it, but it wasn't really able to give really good results. It rarely produced the desired results and hardly ever went as planned. Not to mention that they were exceeding expensive to the point that the Arcorn empire was only able to terraform only a few planets each decade, and it was the richest empire of humanity. The other's were even worse off in this regard!
