"I'm home." Ash walked into the luxury mansion and was met with the scent of pizza. "We're in here, brother!" shouted a melodious and youthful voice from the adjacent room.

As Ash approached the room where his sister, mother and father were he heard the sound of glass breaking followed by a shriek.

He quickly rushed into the room to be greeted by an unexpected sight. Contrary to his expectation of danger he saw his sister smiling brightly at a half-opened present and his parents grinning, while a broken glass of juice lay on the floor.

The small but cute girl with white hair and red eyes on the couch looked at Ash and said, "Oh Ash come here quickly, look at the gift Mom and Dad got me." The girl no taller than 130cm hopped up and down with excitement.

"Father, Mother, hello." Ash greeted plainly as he approached his sister.

"You insufferable brat what's with the attitude today? Are you still mad because we have to go on another mission on Sunday, you do know that all this luxury is not free, right?" Lectured Ash's Father, Lionel Crimson.

Lionel is a tall man, standing at 190cm with rippling muscles, white hair kept short and a trimmed and well-kept beard. He looked like the definition of masculinity.

When he spoke he was calm and stern. He had an aura of authority well fitting his military look. He looked younger, stronger, healthier and more vibrant than a man in his 40s should.

"Baby you know we wouldn't go if we didn't have to. Syd is trying to break through to Level 7 and needs materials from the Blood Lightning lion. He is forming a squad of 4 of his generals to hunt it." said Malinda Crimson in support of Ash's father.

Malinda looked like the picture of beauty. Long, silky brown hair cascading down her back, big round eyes with brown pupils and a round face.

She stood no more than 176cm but seemed to have a much stronger presence. Despite her beauty and seemingly fragileness, she is not someone you would want to face in battle.

"Let's not talk about this now, please. Ash come look at my present, dad got me a new super watch. Now we have the same model." Said Camilla Crimson in an attempt to change the topic before the argument she was expecting happens.

"It's beautiful Cam, is that your birthday gift?" replied Ash, ignoring his Mother and Father in protest of their decision to go on their 4th mission in 5 weeks.

"Yes, isn't it amazing? All my friends were talking about this exact model today, they all said it's incredibly expensive." Camilla ranted with a smile.

"I'm sure the amount of this watch is nothing to the famous right-hand of the Blood Tyrant, White Wind Lionel Crimson," Ash said sarcastically as he sent a sharp glance at his father. To which his Father merely scoffed and looked away.

"You think just cause you're some genius you may talk to your father as you like. While the peak of Level 1 at 13 is impressive it's not enough to disrespect your high level 6 father. I'll let it slide now since I'm in a good mood because of your breakthrough." His father coldly said as he directed the stifling aura of a veteran warrior at Ash.

"Can we please just eat without you two trying to one-up each other", said Ash's mother as she rolled her eyes and took a slice of pizza.

Without replying Ash grabbed a plate and 3 slices as he marched up the stairs toward his room.

"Where do you think you're going while we are eating!" shouted Lionel as Ash ignored him. "Leave him be, he's probably going to cultivate to deal with his frustration," said Malinda in Ash's defence.

Ash entered his room unhappy. He had been in a foul mood the whole day. His parents always seem to be going off on some mission for the Blood Tyrant, leaving him and his 9-year-old sister home alone.

As much as he knew you cannot refuse the Blood Tyrant when he wants something, he was still angry.

Calming his chaotic mind he sat on the carpet of his floor in a meditative position and proceeded to sense the spen in the area. Whenever he didn't want to think of something he took to his cultivation in hopes of awakening his power sooner.

Ash exhaled a long breath as the spen in his room rushed towards him. He has always found the feeling novel and wondered why he cultivates so much faster than his peers. When he thinks about it there are a lot of things he can't explain about himself.

Like his godly talent with the sword, how he can see things others seemingly can't, and how he never meets bottlenecks in his cultivation.

His thoughts were put to a stop when he felt his body become full and something inside him awaken. Then the spen in his room became chaotic as it rushed towards him to refine and strengthen his body. As the spen strengthened his body in preparation for wielding his power, the air in the room gradually got heavier and everything started crashing towards the ground.

His father and mother burst into the room and used pure spen to counter the gravity and make everything stop falling. After half an hour of watching the spen strengthen Ash's body and the innate usage of Ash's power Lionell finally spoke. " Damn did he just break through and awaken his first power?" Ash's father asked with a visibly shocked face.

"hehe it looks like I did old man," said Ash with an exhausted chuckle as he recovered from his breakthrough.

The look on Lionel's face said it all, 'how the hell does a 13-year-old reach level 2 so soon, what kind of stupid talent is that' thought Lionel to himself
