Just Brothers?

" Brother, I think the princess isn't in the mood for your play, why don't you let her have some rest." 

"....." 

Did those words just leave Prince Seth's lips? This time, Dav didn't let Seth's words pass without a reaction from him. Dav traveled his gaze to his brother and gave him one hell of a stare, stares that said 'get out.' 

I had my back facing Seth so I couldn't see the reaction that he had given off but that didn't mean that I didn't feel his cold aura. At that point, it felt like both Dav and Seth were fighting for my attention.

" Brother, you should let her rest, you promised that I will show her different places of our territory, don't you think she should rest since she will have to be awake the whole night?" Seth said with a whole lot of irritation in his voice and surprisingly, Dav didn't do anything. 

No one said anything about showing me the vampire kingdom, I heard that it had a lot of differences from the human territory, well, I guess I will have the opportunity to experience it.

I heard Dav's teeth gnash before face-palming himself. That was his sign of surrender, again, Seth won. Surely, the bond between Dav and Seth was a whole lot more than mere brotherhood.

Dav slowly let go of me and got off the bed. Curious about what he was about to do, I focused my gaze on him until he got to where Seth had sat.

No word came out from either of them but from the way they had maintained an awkward silence, it seemed a secret conversation had gone between them. 

My suspicions were confirmed, vampires could talk telepathically.

" Fine, she will be yours for the night but leave my room." Dav let out a frustrated sigh as blurted out those words. 

Seth turned his gaze over to me and formed a smirk on his face before leaving the room. That smirk improved his facial resemblance with Dav but I wasn't given much time to think about anything as I felt Dav pounce on me. Now we were left alone, Dav wouldn't escape my questions so easily.

" Dav," I whispered while I struggled to remove his head away from my chest. 

Good lord, this vamp was the epitome of shamelessness.

Without removing his head from my chest, he turned his head to face me. " Yes, wife." He answered.

" I noticed the way Seth talks to you, you don't even get angry when you see him close to me. Is there any other relationship that you share with him aside from being his brother?"

At that moment, Dav's mood changed. It was clear that he didn't like the question I had asked which was enough to raise suspicions but Dav couldn't leave my questions hanging, he chose to answer me even if it sounded like a rehearsed lie.

" You asked this question before, he is my brother but from a different mother. His mother is a human but she's dead." He blanky said.

Due to the fact that Dav was irritated by my question, I chose not to ask any questions related to Seth. 

What followed suit was awkwardness as both Dav and I stared at each other with no word being said. I knew that if I kept staring at Dav, he would make a move on me and to prevent that, I pushed him away from me. Fortunately for me, he didn't resist, which made me turn my back on him.

Of course, he moved closer to me and wrapped his body around mine. He placed numerous pecks on my hair while sniffing it harshly….again. If only he knew how much I loved when he did that. 

There, in the broad daylight, I fell asleep.

" Princess." With a single call, my eyes went wide open only to be welcomed by Seth's face which was so close to mine. If I had moved an inch, I would have mistakenly kissed him.

I was still trapped in Dav's embrace which made it difficult for me to move but Dav's steady hot breath on my neck showed that he was still asleep. 

" Prince Seth, what are you doing here?"I asked for a faint chuckle to come out of his mouth. 

" This is also my room Princess, it's time for the outing that I planned for you." He whispered, it seemed he didn't want Dav to follow suit. No way would I explore the vampire territory without Dav by my side.

I ignored what Seth had said as I used force to tap on Dav's arm but he wasn't waking up which made me panic. Did Seth do something to Dav?

" Why is Dav not waking up, did you do anything to him?" I asked with a creased forehead.

" He hardly sleeps but since he fell asleep, every pure vampire gets exhausted during the day and we both have human blood in us so we have at least an hour to be alone.

His words raised my insecurity, does that mean that Seth was not who I had expected him to be? Why would he say those words with so much passion?

" I think we should wait for Dav to wake up, I don't think it's safe to get out there without him." 

His mood immediately went down the drain, for a vampire who I had guessed would be older than my father, he sure acted like a child. 

" No one will dare come close to you especially when you have me by your side, just consider me as your guardian angel." He blurted out but as he said those words, I felt Dav's grip on my waist tighten and that could only mean one thing.

Dav was awake…..

" Seth, I think you are proving stubborn, it's either you let me escort my wife or you forget about it." 

Seth rolled his eyes and went to sit on the royal couch.

" You can't just leave your wife in the arms of another male. I give up, you can come with us." Seth blurted out.
