Declan
I took a step back, unable to believe what I was hearing. “You’re pregnant?”
Henley nodded, smiling. “I just found out.”
“And you were still going to leave?” I scoffed. “Why didn’t you tell me?”
“I didn’t want that to be the reason we got back together,” she replied. “I was going to America for a fresh start because everywhere I looked, you were there... in my mind.” She placed her hand on my cheek. “Declan, I love you more than you’ll ever know. There’ll never be anyone else for me but you.”
I nodded as a thrill rushed through my chest. “Henley, I never want to be apart from you again. Not because of the baby or anything else, but because I love you.” I placed my hand on her cheek, looking deeply into her eyes. “I haven’t been with any other woman since the first day I laid eyes on you, love. You’re it for me. I’ll never love anyone the way I love you. And I want to spend the rest of my life proving it to you.”
