A horse ride

Li Jie had Haorang and Chao Xua tied upside down in a tree as they both pleaded.

"We're sorry young master." Chao Xua said.

"This is what you get for getting my innocent wife drunk."

They both pleaded while Li Jie couldn't stop himself from going back to last night's event, but their pleading kept disturbing him and he spoke up.

"Silence." he whispered and their lips sealed shut as they weren't able to talk any longer, Li Jie smiled as the place grew quiet.

"Much better."

Haorang glared daggers at Chao xua and felt like killing him at the spot for getting him into such a mess.

Mei jingjing stayed in her room and could recall all of last night's event, she felt like slapping herself a thousand times for that.

"Mei jingjing, you're such a fool, how could you have said all that to master Li Jie." she sulked.

Thank goodness he didn't take advantage of her situation last night or else who knows what would have happened?, but still, it made her wonder why he didn't.

She sneaked a peek outside the hallway to make sure Li Jie wasn't at sight before stepping out, she walked slowly along the hallway but of course, it's when you try to avoid someone they always end up showing up.

Li Jie was heading back to the room when he spotted Mei jingjing, she froze up at the sight of him and quickly ran into the room locking the door.

Li Jie smirked and walked up to the door, he knocked on it.

"Mei jingjing."

Mei jingjing moved away from the door, feeling relieved he wouldn't be able to enter but the scheming fellow used his powers to unlock the door from inside and slowly stepped in.

Mei jingjing gasped and covered her face with her palm unable to meet his gaze, he smiled and walked up to her.

"Why did you lock the door when you saw me coming?" he asked.

"I... I didn't want to see your face." she lied and he knew, her expression right now made him want to tease her even more.

"Why, is it because I'm not handsome enough, or...." he brought his head down to her ear.

"Or I'm not attractive enough?" he whispered making her cheeks heat up in her hands, he slowly tore her hands from her face as he stared at her flushed face, it's funny how easily she gets so flustered.

She pouted stubbornly. "You're only saying this to get on my nerves but I won't let you succeed."

She pushed him away and left the room, he snickered.

She got outside and met Li Jie's guards hanging upside down from a tree.

"What tha..." she ran up to them. "What happened here?"

Chao Xua glanced at her. "Greetings princess."

Haorang glanced at her. "We're undergoing punishment."

"For what?"

"For getting you drunk accidentally." Chao Xua said. Mei jingjing folded her arms.

"Well, it's your fault I did crazy things last night so I won't be helping you."

"Please, I'll do anything." Chao Xua said. Mei jingjing smiled.

"Anything?"

They both nodded.

"I'll need two bowls of zhajiangmian noodles, the maids ran out of it so you'll have to get it for me."

weng Lie and Chao Xua exchanged glances, they expected a more hard request from her but she only wants food? They nodded in agreement.

She grinned, Li Jie showed up.

"What's going on here?"

Mei jingjing glanced at him. The guards trembled at his sight.

"Master Li Jie, they've received enough punishment, don't you think it's high time you release them?"

The two guards nodded in agreement, Li Jie sighed.

"No, they deserve to remain there the whole day."

"Young master, remember I'm your friend and favorite person." Chao Xua added sympathetically.

"So what?, you two are my favorite guards and that's the reason I'm giving you such an easy punishment."

"Have mercy on them, besides, if you keep them tied up like this, when will you have the chance to teach me how to ride a horse?" Mei jingjing stated.

Li Jie raised his pretty brow at her. "You want to learn how to ride a horse?"

She nodded with an adorable look on her face. "I told you I didn't have anyone to teach me so I need to learn it now."

Li Jie thought about it and gazed at her for a while before nodding to her words, he released his guards and they fell to the ground.

They hurriedly got to their feet and bowed for their master.

"Thank you young master." Haorang said, Li Jie walked out while Mei jingjing trailed behind mouthing to the guards about her zhajiangmian.

Mei jingjing trailed behind as Li Jie moved ahead.

"Do you really want to learn how to ride a horse?"

She nodded. "Yes, I've always wanted to learn."

"Change your clothes and meet me at the yarn."

"Shouldn't we eat first?"

"Practice first, eating later."

He walked out with Mei jingjing pouting sadly behind him, not to worry Mei jingjing, you're gonna have some yummy Zhajiangmian noodles later. She cheered up at the thought and walked out.

Li Jie got his horse ready while he waited for Mei jingjing to get dressed, she showed up dressed in a blue bellflower gown along with the trouser.

She tied her hair in a ponytail and ran up to Li Jie with a smile on her pretty face.

"I'm ready."

Li Jie looked away from her, he couldn't understand the weird feeling he felt each time he saw her.

Mei jingjing stroked the dark horse lovingly. "So what do we begin with?"

"First you have to be friendly with your horse, let it know you."

Mei jingjing smiled. "But I'm friendly with Ilya."

"I know you are, but once you get your own horse you need to treat it with care the same way you treat ilya."

He glanced at her. "Get on the horse."

She nodded and he helped her up into the horse.

"Woah," she thought she was going to fall but Li Jie held her in place placing her legs properly on the stirrups.

"Make sure both your feets are comfortable on the stirrup okay?"

She nodded, Li Jie went to get another horse so he can ride along with her.

"Hold the reins in your hand properly like this."

He made an example with the horse he brought, Mei jingjing copied him holding unto ilya's rein.

"Sit deep and relax on the saddle, also Keep the reins slightly loose cause you wouldn't want to pull hard to your horses mouth." he instructed.

Mei jingjing nodded politely and did as she was told. Li Jie watched all her movement and she did them right.

"To get it to start walking, you need to give your horse a gentle squeeze."

The minute she did it, Ilya began to move."

"Woahhh....!" she held firmly unto the reins so she doesn't fall off as she was starting to get nervous, Li Jie's horse moved along with them.

"Don't worry, you don't need to be scared, remember your horse can feel your emotions so try your best to stay sharp." he said firmly, Mei jingjing gawked at him, so much for an instructor.

Mei jingjing took a deep breath and moved with ease untop of Ilya as she gave it a gentle squeeze behind it's lower leg, she walked with Ilya and couldn't believe she was riding a horse right now.

"I'm walking on a horse." she grinned, Li Jie looked ahead.

"That's easy but the next part is quite scary."

"Which is?"

"Watch." Li Jie pulled unto the reins gently and started of with a regular canter, he leaned forward slightly moving his hands up to the neck of the horse, he squeezed his legs gently signaling the horse to speed up and in a minute the horse was galloping ahead and really fast too, Mei jingjing watched with her eyes wide opened, how is she going to learn that?!

The horse moved really fast and Mei jingjing planned on doing the same thing to Ilya but made a wrong move and her feet wasn't placed properly on the saddle, Ilya galloped ahead and she screamed holding unto the reins tightly which was a wrong move.

Li Jie saw the horse galloping ahead with Mei jingjing screaming behind it, she has no idea how to stop the horse, Li Jie sighed.

"This woman!" he went after her on the horse trying to catch up with them, the horse continued to gallop, Li Jie finally caught up with it and stopped his own horse, he quickly got down and used his powers to draw Ilya back, it neighed and stood on it's feet, Mei jingjing's grip on the reins loosened and she fell of from the horse but Li Jie caught her on time before she fell to the ground.

She wrapped her arms around him tightly still in fear of what could have happened to her, Li Jie wanted to scold her again but seeing her right now?, he couldn't bring himself to do it.

He slowly dropped her to her feet and asked.

"Are you alright?"

She nodded, he flicked her head but more gently this time. "You're so stubborn, who asked you to try the gallop when you haven't known how to stop a horse yet?"

"Are you scolding me?" she sulked, he sighed and shook his head. "I'm not going to scold you."

He glanced at the horses. "Are you scared of Ilya now?"

She shook her head. "No, like you said, it felt my emotions and also got scared so I don't blame it all." she replied honestly.

They didn't realize they were close to a lake, she smiled as she gazed at it.

"Master Li Jie, remember when you chased me with water?"

"Like this." he used his powers to take a little quantity of water from the lake and splashed it on her face. she giggled and used her hand to fetch a large quantity of water and splashed him with it.

He smiled as he stared at her cheerful expression.

"You know what, I'm going to ride into town." she said.

"Why?"

"Cause we haven't stepped out yet, come on." she got on Ilya.

Li Jie got on the other white horse and the two galloped ahead, he wasn't expecting her to gallop but she did and her fears had suddenly vanished. she glanced at him.

"Race you to the temple." she pulled on the reins and galloped ahead, he smiled and followed as both of them raced to Bixia temple, they got into bixia town and wandered around staring at the people and the beautiful houses in bixia, they even ate their breakfast at a fancy vendor and hurried back, they arrived at the leader Chang's home.

Daiyu sat outside and saw them race back as Li Jie taught Mei jingjing how to dismount from her horse.

"Slide to the ground and make sure you dismount from the left side of your horse."

Mei jingjing did as she was told and stepped down successfully.

"Yes, I did it!" she exclaimed with a high five from Li Jie. Daiyu frowned as she kept her fiery eyes on them, what does master Li Jie even see in her?

She's more pretty but Li Jie doesn't seem to notice her at all and yet, this two keep claiming they don't feel a thing for each other.

She shrugged off the feeling, what are you saying Daiyu, you're here to destroy him not fall for him, before that happens they'll have to get rid of him soon.
