The town had transformed overnight, it seemed.

I had never seen Halloween decorations so vibrant that they could outshine Christmas. Orange, purple, and white lights decorated nearly every window of every business.

Lit Jack-O-Lanterns littered the streets and I hung my head out of the window as we drove by.

“Everything looks so beautiful!” I exclaimed.

“Yeah, it does,” Damien said from behind me though he wasn’t looking out of the window. He was looking at me.

We pulled into the public parking lot that lead down to the beach - the lot was filled to the brim with cars. I didn’t even know that there were this many people that lived in Wolf’s Cove.

Once the car was parked, the three of them scrambled out of the car to open the door for me. Ultimately, Garrett wins out, pushing his brothers out of the way to open the door for me.

But it is Liam whose arm wrapped around my waist and lifted me out of the car as Garrett shot him a glare to end all glares.
