My hands were drenched in blood. All of us were covered in it.

Liam wouldn’t stop bleeding.

By the time we made it back to the house, his white fur was almost entirely red.

“The arrows can’t stay in there!” Damien said, pointing at the two large arrows that were protruding out of his brother. “He’s going to bleed out!”

“He could bleed out if we pull them out-”

“Even if bleeding out was not on the table, look at him!” Damien said, pacing. “He can’t just have two f*cking arrows in his chest, Garret!”

“Stop arguing and just help him!” I shouted at them.

“O-o-ou-t..” Liam rasped.

The pain in his voice was enough to set my teeth on edge. Sweat was beading on his skin, and when I pressed a hand to his cheek, his skin felt cool.

“It’s okay, Liam. We’re going to get them out,” I assured him. I hoped to the Moon that I wasn’t lying to him.

He had to be okay. I looked at Damien and Garrett.
