“Because the powers that be keep an eye on the trading of the stocks of banks and other large corporations. If they see a lot of activity involving officers of the bank and/or people connected to them, it would look like insider trading, and the SEC takes that very seriously.”

“Mick, we’ve been investing a fixed dollar amount in the bank’s stock every month for a long time now.”

“Yeah, but that’s a regular and systematic investment program that we do every month. Besides, my new compensation package includes stock options.”

“Way to go, Mick.”

Ted walked onto the porch with Bishop at his heels. “Supper’s ready.”

“It’s nice to have a chef-in-training, isn’t it?” Mickey said.

“Yeah.” Chris stood, hugged his brother, and said, “Lead on, kiddo.”
