Chapter 25
“You got it—I’ll meet you there.”
“Pop said you have a little boy.”
“That I do,” she said.
“Who takes care of him when you’re out and about?”
“One of my friends. She takes care of little Mickey for me, and I return the favor when she needs a sitter.”
“You named the kid Mickey? Wow!”
“Actually, it’s Michael, but he answers to Mickey.”
“I guess I should say thank you for that.”
“You’re very welcome, big brother.”
“I’d like to meet my nephew.”
“You will, tomorrow at Gram’s. You are coming over there for lunch, aren’t you?”
“You bet we are.”
They watched her drive off before they mounted their bikes and headed back to their hotel.
DINNER WAS ALL that Mickey had promised it would be, and Chris really enjoyed getting to know Mickey’s sister. He told Mickey so at length as they drove back to their hotel.
“We’ll have to invite your sister and little Mickey to come visit us some weekend,” Chris said
“We can do that, but we probably ought to wait a few months.”
