Chapter 42 I Don’t Want Your Money!

His suddenly harsh tone scared Kairi. She clenched the bath towel around her body and walked slowly towards Scott.

Kairi stopped when she was still some distance away from Scott.

She bit her lower lip.

"How can I help you?"

"Help me get up to the bed," Scott said in a cold voice. There was no emotion in his eyes.

Kairi breathed a sigh of relief, he just needed help to get on his bed. It was a completely normal request, the only catch was that she only had a bath towel wrapped around her and it would unravel easily if she wasn't careful. So Kairi began to plead, "Could I please change into my pajamas first and then I will come back to help you? I forgot to bring my pajamas earlier."

Scott said nothing and kept staring at her.

Kairi pinched a corner of the bath towel, bit her lower lip, and said, "Just a moment, I'll be back in a jiffy."
