Chapter 29 Forbidden Fantasies

"Why?"

The man who had been so indifferent to her just a second ago, why was he so gentle and tender now?

Was she dreaming?

"Ms. Lowery, please forgive me! It really wasn't my intention for that to happen. You know it clearly yourself!" When she saw Scott asking for Kairi's opinion, the shop assistant knew that Kairi was the decision maker. She quickly scrambled to Kairi's feet and begged for mercy with tears in her eyes.

Kairi came to her senses suddenly and looked down at the shop assistant.

With her face full of tears, she sobbed and said, "I don't make much money working here monthly. I have a child at home that depends on me. Ms. Lowery, please be merciful and forgive me."

The shop assistant's situation sounded very similar to Kairi's past. Her monthly wage wasn't that much, but she still had to support her family. She couldn't save any money for herself at all.

She pursed her lips and bent down to help the shop assistant up. "Get up first."
